"We ordered glasses and paid for them in full. Eleven months later we were re-charged for the same glasses we paid for. When I spoke with the company, they said they had no idea how the system pulled the charge in again. They said they would issue a credit. They DID NOT. They will not return my calls. I am still waiting for my refund. If they did this to me, I wouldn't be suprised if they did this to others."
"I ordered glasses last May. When I got them, they were not what I ordered. Wanted a specific style/shape and got something different. I called 3 different times & was told by Mr. Kounnas that the situation would be resolved & I would get the correct glasses. I offered to send the ones I was given, back and he said no, send them back after I got the replacements. Fast forward 7 months, still no glasses. 1 conversation was his patented, "I'm waiting for the frames to come from Austria". Next time was, "I'll send them next week". That was 4 months ago. Same excuses some of the other customers have written in their reviews. So the prices look like they're good good to be true? Well as the cliche goes... I frankly think the positive reviews are plants by him or someone involved with his company. Be smart & avoid getting ripped off like the rest of us. "

No. It will be you, too. I thought the same thing until I placed an order, SPOKE ON THE PHONE with Mr. Kounnas, and then received nothing. It took over three months of calls, emails, chats, etc. to get my glasses which are not even in new condition. They're a scam. Better off buying somewhere else even if it is a bit more."
"Ignore the come-ons of lower prices and free services and steer clear of KounOpt.com. I have been waiting for five months for my most recent order from Kounopt Opticians; this, despite repeated complaints by me and repeated promises from owner/optician Jim Kounnas that he “can” (not “will”), ship my glasses immediately after admitting, in an email, that my glasses were in his office, blaming his lab for not shipping them, and promising immediate shipment, adding that “This is final, no excuses no delays”). Mr. Kounnas made that promise more than a month ago. I have yet to receive my eyeglasses or a response to my most recent inquiry about my order.
If you order Silhouette frames through Kounopt and do not receive them on a timely basis, this is how Mr. Kounnas likely wiill dissemble. After your first complaint, he will blame the delay on the Silhouette factory in Austria. After a subsequent complaint, he again will blame the factory. After that, he will come up with other excuses (the lab did not know your glasses were in my office, etc., he “can” ship them immediately, etc.). He may even email a picture of the glasses and frames. But he will not send the glasses. He even imposes a $15.00 shipping fee to the final bill and provides no tracking number for the frames and glasses that he fails to send.
In my opinion, Mr. Kounnas’s ongoing dissembling, his use of the word “can” instead of the word “will”, and his refusal to provide a tracking number indicate premeditated fraudulent intent. Do yourself a big favor and purchase your eyeglasses from a reputable business.

I don't have any complaint, the store owner always replied my emails and informed me about status and the more important, he worry when I commented him I was requiring frames sooner, and he helped me.

"I recently wanted to try ordering my glasses online and maybe saving some money. I tired a number of websites and finally came up on Jim Kounnas. I called his number and spoke directly to him specifically asking him if he had the frames I wanted in stock, he said he had 3 in stock and they would turn around quickly. I went ahead and placed my online order. in 14 days, I had heard nothing and called again, he said give him a few more days and they would ship. He updated me that the lab had completed the work and they were on their way to his shop and he would ship them out the very same day he received them. Well, I waited 4 days and never received an email like he promised. I called again and he said, just a few more days, we're waiting on your frames to get in stock. Well, this proved this is a scam company and he lied to me from the beginning. I insisted on a refund. Long story short, I'm glad I used PayPal, because I had to start a claim with them to my money back. I guess I learned my lesson. I'm posting this here so anyone thinking about ordering glasses from Jim Kounnas at www.kounopt.com please don't do it. It's not worth the headache and this guy is a shady character for sure."
