"Let me start by saying that I often shop for guns online to get an idea of the best price I can expect, then typically will try to get that price matched at a local shop or at a gun show. The extra steps involved in the transfer have usually prevented me from online purchases of guns. After this experience with buying from Kyle, I can say that this will be where I start my search, and I won't hesitate for a second to place an order with Kyle.

The personal and attentive service is at the level you only wish you'd get in a store in your hometown. I had a confirmation of my after-hours order within minutes, and unbelievably a tracking number the same evening. Tracking showed that the gun was already en route the next morning just as promised, and follow-up was thorough. I have never had such a straightforward gun sale. I have a great contact for the transfer as well, so it was all super smooth.

It's worth mentioning that the gun I picked up was the brand new Springfield XDM Compact (just came out in early December 2010). Kyle has had these in stock since they first came out, and has been selling them for the best price you'll find, and with no penalty for using a card. I even got free shipping! All this at a time when the rest of the world is selling these guns at a premium, if they have even heard of them (most sites weren't listing them yet and most places didn't seem to know what they were!).

I recommend Kyle's without a second thought, and suggest you try buying from Kyle just to see what customer service should be like. Only 2 minor "wish list" items for Kyle's, 1) List FFLs on file on the website so service will be even faster and avoid extra steps, and 2) I hope to see the selection expand to include some additional manufacturers as the business grows. Honestly, most of what I'd buy is already sold here, but it would be nice to never have to look anywhere else again...
