"Good experience, the exception being the return process. LA Police Gear does not do exchanges. Customers must send the item back (at their expense) and then re-order the correct item/size/color etc. To be honest, this kinda sucks, particularly when considering the brutal shipping charges LA Police Gear imposes.

If you're buying LA Police Gear brand stuff, it's worth it, just make sure you order the right size. If you're buying 5.11 or other off brands, look for someone with a better return policy and/or more reasonable shipping fees."

"LA Police Gear has great prices and runs fantastic sales but those are the only good reasons to shop there. For some, that may be enough. For me, it is not. I'd rather pay a little more and receive my order in a timely manner.

They are usually out-of-stock on many items in a given brand, even when they run a sale and the "available in one to two weeks - reserve yours now!" message they give you when you select an out-of-stock item has never worked out in my experience.

If they offer "free shipping" don't take the offer unless you're willing to wait a few days or weeks, even if the items you want are in-stock.

If they are out-of-stock, do not expect them to ship what they have in-stock until the other items arrive at their facility. You can request that they ship as items come in but there's no guarantee they will.

I had one very large order take nearly five months to fulfill. Average time to receive an order from them is about 5-6 weeks and I've placed about a dozen orders with their company.

This is MY experience. In fairness, I've only ordered Blackhawk, Maxpedition and 5.11 items from them so my experience may be due to outside problems unique to those brands. I should also point out that they get very good reveiews from other shoppers, yet there's plenty who share my complaints."
