"Ordered a Reman Engine for my granddaughters PU Truck which she needs for college. Engine arrived at at the mechanics shop. Bad engine was removed, Reman Engine put in and shop paid. 146 miles later, Reman Engine started running very rough. Truck was returned to shop and after several tests and borescope exam, it was determined it had broken piston rings in one cyl. Called the warranty dept. and was told my mechanic didn’t know what he was talking about. They claimed it was bad valve guides, there for, it was our fault. After numerous phone calls and sending the borescope pictures, which they claim they never got, they refused to do anything. After several days of getting nowhere, I found the CEOs phone number and left a message threatening legal action. I was called back and after several calls, I was told they would replace the engine as a good will jesture. About a week later the second engine arrives and I pay again to remove and replace the engine, plus storage for the truck taking up space at the shop. Also had to pay storage for the 30 Days the first Reman Engine sat in the shop because they didn’t pick it up. This started on 11/03/ 2017 and over three months later, I still haven’t been reimbursed for the core charge or the second take out and install or the storage fees. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and got a letter last Friday stating that after numerous attempts to contact LKQ, LKQ has refused to respond to the BBB, so they have closed my file and lowered LKQs rating. If you need parts, go someplace reputable, their warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on,"
