"We have interviewed several other locations and decided to enroll our daughter at LA Petite Academy and cannot wait for her to start. :)"
"Went on a tour of this center a couple days ago. Classrooms are dirty, teachers aren’t friendly (beside this one male teacher who greeted us with a smileand “good evening” followed by a handshake, he introduced himself but I unfortunately forgot his name), and the managers seem fake. Considering all of that the tuition is outrageously high, definitely NOT enrolling...."
"We've been sending our daughter to this center for 2 years now. Both years she had Mr. Alvin as a teacher, who is by far the BEST teacher in the center. So even though we read and heard that this plave indergoes a lot of managment changes and staff changes we were content because he is such a great teacher..fast forward a couple month, Niema and Esther took Mr. Alvin out of the class half way through the school year to put him in another class without informing the parents!! The teacher that they replaced him with seemed to be okay at first glance. Then my daughter began to come home with red marks on her arm! I thought that maybe she fell and they forgot to tell us but when i asked her what happened she told me that the new teacher (Mr. David) grabbed her arm before nap time, during outside time and during story time then squeezed it because she was being "bad"! I couldn't believe my ears! Right away i called and spoke to Niema the director. Up to this point we have had no big problems with her, but when i spoke with her she seemed waaaay to calm for my liking, not to mention she accused my child of lying and making up the whole ordeal even though my daughter has clear red marks on her arm! They can be asured that CPS will be called! Hopefully the corperate office sees this and fiers David for physical harming a child, and Niema for allowing such a sicko to continue to be around children and not giving him the boot herself, or atleast reporting him!"
"We have had our three children in this center for over 3 years and NEVER have we seen such horrible management! Their is a lot of management changes, as well as teachers leaving. Outside of Mr. Alvin, this center has some of the the worst childcare providers we've ever seen. The lack of drive and nonchalant attitude the management has obviously trickled down to the rest of the center's staff members. They don't care about the children at all, i walked in multiple times on teachers dragging children by their arm. The only one who still seems to actually be there for the children benefit is Mr. Alvin. It's very unfortunate that this company has yet to see the potential in this young man. Niema and Esther are by far the worst management ever! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CENTER!
"
"The first 3 classes were great- infant, toddler 1 , toddler 2. Everything the centre was doing we approved of. There was all around consistency and quality. But since he moved to early pre-school, things started going downhill very fast to the point we don’t recommend this centre to anyone, and we ourselves are contemplating leaving it."
"Management undergoes a lot of changes, and fails to communicate when they take teachers out of classrooms! Mr. Alvin the best teacher in there, was our child's teacher for a little over a year. We were happy, even though the management was constantly changing as well as teachers in other rooms because Mr. Alvin was our child's teacher. That was until one of the teachers in another room left due (most likely due to the poor management) and without communicating anything to parents they took Mr. Alvin out of our child's class and put him in the other class, leaving our child with a stranger! Some new hire whom my husband and I have never seen nor been introduced to. The most upsetting part is that Niema and Esther (the managers of the facility) sent nothing out about any changes taking place. It's been a couple month now and I've still yet to be introduced to this new teacher or receive anything on if/when Mr. Alvin will be coming back. Mr. Alvin was the only reason why we were staying and now he is not there, strongly considering leaving... "
"Great staff, really friendly, am very happy. The director is great. Would like to see more help for the older children in making friends especially if they are shy"
"It's been ok. I would like to see more advanced communication if there are supplies needed. They are good about sending payment reminders, closure days, and parents night out activities. There is a disconnect sometime about what has happened that day or to bring things for the activities in advance. The biggest areas for improvement are consistent communication with all parents. Using the app consistently and accurately is helpful. I think they do care about my child and like that they have incorporated the community (dentist, police, firefighters) into the activities."
"My daughter loves going to school here! Mr. Alvin does such a wonderful job with his class! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!"
"We love La Petite! It is our second home. New director Neima is amazing. I believe she is the best we had. Has very friendly approach and great ideas about how to make curriculum more fun. Mr. Alvin by far the most wonderful teacher and cares so much for children. I can not thank you enough for everything you do for our little ones."
"I absolutely love all the staff. They have provided my son with a safe, nurturing environment with healthy boundaries. When I drop him off in the morning, they are warm and inviting which leaves me with comfort. Also, the setting of healthy boundaries in my absence has helped my son to relax and pay attention - this in itself is priceless. LaPetite gets two thumbs up in my opinion. Tell them to keep up the good work!"
"This has been a good place for our daughter."
"I am very happy with this school for my daughter. The teachers, notably Mr. Alvin & Ms. Keara. They are very professional and have a warm, engaging presence since my daughter’s first day of school. When I come to them for any questions that I may have, they are very knowledgeable and feel comfortable in interacting daily with them in person/using the brightwheel app. I’d love for them to train incoming staff, if they aren’t doing that already!"
"General experience has been good. The directors are great and most of the teachers are great. A few of the teachers seem underqualified and uninterested in their job and are not great communicators with parents."
"We love our school feels like home and everyone is super wonderful, starting with Ms. Kim and Mr. Alvin who is not our teacher yet but we love him soooo much!"
"My kids have made great friends and I couldn't be happier with the education they're getting."
