"I do love her teachers and I have felt comfortable leaving my infant, but the ratio of babies to caregiver is concerning."
"The educational curriculum has really accelerated in the last 3 months or so with staffing issues stating to level off and my son is loving it!"
"Generally great. Only have one child there currently and can say we’ve always loved Ms. Lois. The evaluation factors in experiences with several teachers but Ms. Lois seems to exemplify the qualities you mention. We didn’t have her for long but the kids also had positive experiences with Ms. Kadisha and Ms. Wanda."
"General experience has been positive. I have a 5 year old in the after school program. and 3 year old that has been since she was 9 months. My 5 month old that starts next month.. The staff is very informed about upcoming events, parties and holiday fun. The center is always decorated seasonally. The kids are always bringing home cute art projects and over 80% of the time the teachers are actively engaging with them when I pick up or drop off instead of a chaotic free for all"
"We have had a great experience thus far. Everyone communicates with us and knows every child by name, which is wonderful. The staff truly cares about each child."
"I’ve enjoyed the time our child has been there! It’s nice to have a partnership with the people who are with your kid during a large part of their lives!"
"My ONLY real complaint is school closure procedures. I understand that I owe 50% even if my kids are not there AT ALL and I'm grateful for the discount, as I've had many friends tell me this is not a norm. However, I DO NOT understand how I can be charged for a week of school in which THE SCHOOL itself was closed through no fault of my own...ie hurricane closures. It was not my choice to keep them at home and I was responsible for finding (and paying) for my own coverage for the week. That being said, the worst part of this whole situation is that your company doesn't pass that FREE money from me along to the nice people that take care of my kids and couldn't come to work, or get paid, because the school was closed. If you're going to take my money for literally doing nothing for me or my kids, you could at least take care of the teachers that lost a weeks worth of hours. I really feel like the giant company you are could really afford to take the hit on this lose of revenue and I know most of the teachers can't because I teach too. I really would love to talk to someone about this in case my understanding of this is incorrect, so please reach out to me. ***-***-****"
"La Petite - James Island continues to impress me on a daily basis, even after almost 3 years of my child's attendance. I now have two daughters that go to La Petite, and there isn't an ounce of concern in my body about their safety and well-being. The teachers at La Petite are friendly, caring, and clearly know my children well. Every day when I drop-off/pick-up my girls, almost every staff member in the building says hi or bye, calls my kids by name, and my older daughter (2.5 years old) will often run over and give them hugs. I get videos/pictures/updates to my phone multiple times a day, which makes me feel more connected to them throughout the day. The director of La Petite - James Island, Shannon, has been extremely helpful, communicative, and also knows both me and my children by name. Teachers Laniesha, Lois, and Lela all deserve shout-outs - they treat my daughters as if they were their own, and always take a moment to tell me how the girls are doing at school, share a funny moment from the day, and just seem genuinely interested in my kids' well-being. I will (and have) recommend La Petite - James Island to anyone who asks. This place is great!!"
"We've loved being part of the La Petite family. The director, Shannon, is wonderful. Always ready to answer questions and keep us informed. Our daughter's teachers are kind and helpful. When we bring our older daughter in, her former teachers always say hi to her and ask her how she is doing. It's wonderful that they remember her from when she attended the school. Thank you!"
"Honestly. It has been a rollercoaster. With staff coming and going so quickly, there is a lack of consistency with anything. The teachers that have stuck it out are awesome and truly have the heart for their jobs. We wouldnt still be here if it weren't for them specifically. Ms. Lois and Ms. Neisha love the kids at our school and do their absolute best even with all the changes. I am not sure where the breakdown is but I pray that something changes soon so I dont have to find a new school that can focus on my child's needs and early education."
"Both of and plus our son loves the staff and they him. Cost is kinda pricey, but as long as ratios are in line it's worth the money. Would like to see more focus on curriculum, but I assume it will get better when fully staffed."
"This school is great! Staff is friendly & attentive. Baby boy is very happy there"
"I like the school but our baby has been sick a lot which has been hard to manage with two working parents. I would love to get pictures of our baby every day and for them to have structured learning activities every day for the babies."
"Wonderful teachers and directors."
"Very good, my kid is happy and well cared for. I enjoy the updates throughout the day!"
