"Great people. They clearly care for our kids and do a wonderful job managing the school. There was a period of instability with management and staff (lots of turnover) which was a little concerning but that seems to have settled down now."
"It's dim inside. Better lights would go a long way in making it more inviting. Updated sinks are needed. Although they might be clean, they are grimmy looking. Most teachers have been very helpful in helping our child to adjust, although it seems negative reinforcement against the class in general seems to occur frequently."
"most teachers seem very nice but communication at the director level leaves something to be desired. I was told the wrong cost, I had to ask how to get in the building, I had to ask for a pin number in order to sign my child in and out, I had to ask for a mailbox (still don't have one), I had to ask for my child's name/picture to be place on his cubby. There seems to be confusion about what classroom he is in as well."
"It is really hit or miss depending on the teacher caring for our child. Our experience with our current teacher is underwhelming. There is poor communication and there seems to be a lack of supervision in the class room. With that said, I want to note that we had a wonderful experience with other teachers in the past. There are great individuals working at this school. However, they do not last. There is a very high turnover. I want to put a good word for ms Megan Delp and ms Alicia Steinmetz who are doing an amazing job. We had our best experience while our child was in their room."
"I think someone better examine the qualifications at this location. I feel like anymore, they're looking for bodies moreso than qualified, nurturing teachers. Many Great ones have left (Miss Ari, Miss Ligi, Miss Aditi) and I think there's a great reason for that. It seems like their standard for 'educators' has dropped. One of the helpers in the afternoon, she's awkward, can't make eye contact, strange conversation -- exactly what you want at the end of your work day when you're hearing about your child's bad day. Communication, Empathy and Professionalism (interestingly, the same things you ask about above) are clearly lacking in the staff. With all this said, I would like to note that Miss Megan and Miss Alicia stand out amongst the rest... if the entire staff genuinely cared, were patient and kind like them -- this would be a very different place."
"This school can not assure the safety of children with extreme allergies during early drop off."
"Very good. We just started attending and have felt very supported"
"It is okay; we have had issues with a lack of communication, a big pot hole in driveway leading up to the parking lot, and large turnover with staff. We don't understand why there is such a large turnover."
"LP - Exton has a caring and wonderful staff. I can't imagine leaving my son anywhere else. He enjoys his days and I know it will sadden him greatly come 1st grade and leaving LP. We invite his teachers to his Birthday parties and stay in contact with his past teachers that have moved to other States."
"Miss Lane (Director) and Miss Stephanie (Asst. Director) are amazing. They are always warm, kind and interested in my family. Sometimes, Miss Heather is at the front desk, and we (my husband and I) agree that she is sort of awkward and doesn't give you high confidence. The teachers are great. I'm not always sure who's who at the end of the day... some of the after school assistants could be better at introducing themselves.I love the precious status app, and the updating is FANTASTIC in the preschool class... with pre-K, school-age, and camp -- it's not as good.I do feel like I get good updates, and I'm aware of how my kids have spent their day, but I'm completely missing how they're doing... for instance, I just noticed that one of my children can barely write... I would have expected his teacher to proactively have brought that up to me by now as an issue that she has also observed. Also, at our old daycare, we would get periodic charts on what skills the kids were working on (gross & fine motor, #'s , etc) and how our child was doing. I have NO IDEA what skill/ behavior targets are for my 3-year old child at La Petite, nor how they're progressing towards those skills."
"Lane was wonderful. She made me feel my kids would really enjoy this school. I love the STEM activities and curriculum at this center. I enjoyed speaking with Lane and I was able to observe her interact with other teachers as they guided their students between activities. I feel confident that when my boys start at this school it will be an easy transition for them since we are moving to the area. Thank you Lane for your hospitality - we'll be seeing you soon!"
"Teachers a great.Overall very good."
"Miss Megan is amazing!!! She has taught our son so much."
"It's been great. It was a hard adjustment in the beginning. But, my daughter loves it there."
