"We enjoy the teachers and atmosphere of the school. Our child enjoys being there and is happy which is most important to us."
"I am admittedly a picky mom since I spent 10 years privately nannying (after a few years working at a daycare) before my son was born. That being said I consider la Petite to be bare minimum acceptable for my child. The children are ALWAYS sick, the bathroom is NASTY, the teacher seems super awesome and runs the class as well as I could ever expect her to- but she is over taxed. It does not seem realistic to expect her to update the app for 12-13 2 year olds IN ADDITION to caring for them. She is probably the only reason I've kept my child enrolled- I do trust her to take good care of my son and be kind, etc, but speaking as someone who 'taught' twos for a year myself- nothing short of super human powers could provide someone with enough skill to ACTUALLY TEACH, NURTURE, AND APPROPRIATELY CARE for 12-13 two year olds at a time."
"Overall very happy with our experience. The teachers are great and my kids enjoy coming to school."
"The teachers are very nice and friendly, but I don't always feel that my concerns or requests are really heard. I feel like I'm told what I would like to hear without the necessary follow-up. For example, my toddler just started potty training at home and I've asked for him to be given the opportunity to potty throughout the day, since the room he's currently in is still all in diapers but a potty is available. Since I don't get any updates on the Brightwheel app. I really don't know whether he's actually being taken to the potty and the teachers don't say anything about it at all unless I ask, in which case I'm told that they let him try throughout the day. I guess I have to take their word for it, but I wish these things would get entered into the app. He's also visiting the 2s room as he will transition next month, however; I never even get an entry informing me when he's visiting. Being able to look at an app. that lets me know what my child has been up to and what's happening in his life is one of the reasons I was encouraged to have him at La Petite other than the location."
"Overall, my son has been well taken care of since starting at LaPetite."
"I have nothing but good things to say about everyone at La Petite in Gainesville, Fl. Everyone from Ms. Nissa to the infant teachers to the toddler teachers to the lady that brings the food around (Ms. T?) have been wonderful to my daughter and to me. They know her little quirks and what she likes and doesn't like which shows me that they really know her as a person. I get pictures of her and if there's any concern or incident, they tell me right away. They've helped us get rid of the pacifier and they've challenged her (within age-appropriate limits) to develop new skills. We initially chose LPA because it was the only daycare that had an infant opening, but I can't imagine my daughter being anywhere else and I won't take her anywhere else. She loves her teachers and her little smile when she sees them says it all. I can't ask for more!"
"At the beginning it was great but once my daughter went to the twos it seem to go down hill her education is still about the same as when she was 1 and her class doesn't do much activities to help with learning just a lot of coloring pages and not much teaching"
"This school has been good overall but I wouldn’t say excellent. There is still a lot that can be worked on. Mostly teachers should be able to better communicate with parents, I rarely know what’s going on with my child or what activities they do. They have the app but barely post in it. They constantly switch my child between classes and don’t let me know. There is a lot of yelling from the teachers, some are aggressive and unapproachable. The teachers are always cleaning in the afternoon instead of watching children, they should hire separate cleaning staff because the teachers should be watching the kids not cleaning. Not to mention the bathrooms smell strongly of urine. Lights are out and the place is starting to look really bad. This center needs attention. The snacks/food they serve isn’t necessarily the healthiest. And I never know if my son eats his food or not because the teachers don’t tell me."
"I have had mostly positive experiences at LPA. When I did have an issue the Director, Nissa Pfeffer and Asst. Director Jacqueline McClellan both took my concerns seriously and helped to resolve the issue. I do feel the staff are not valued as much as they should be with your company. I say this because my child has been with LPA since she was an infant and there is a large turnaround for teachers and staff in general. It is a fact if people are treated with respect and compensated for their hard work they generally don't leave a company and the turnaround time would not be as high. Stability is critically important for young children and as a parent I feel it would be beneficial to the children if the staff wasn't constantly changing. Sincerely, Anne Cotton"
"Overall pretty good. The director and teachers are great. Very communicative and always willing to work together to accomplish certain goals."
"Knowing that my son is excited to learn, He comes home and he talks about what was talk to him in school that day. He comes home and he talks about what was taught to him in school that day. Outstanding job I could definitely see improvement within him."
"It is okay. We did not stay long enough to give it a completely fair assessment. One of our teachers was clearly perfect for the role of infant caregiver (which we loved), others seemed too young or disinterested in engaging well with parents. The environment seemed hectic and basic, I never felt completely at ease sending my child. I have high expectations for my child's education and life skills, I wasn't sure LP would deliver."
"The most caring, helpful and loving teachers and staff I have ever come across. They all know my son’s name and he loves them all. He has learned so much since he has been going to this school. I recommend it to anyone considering daycare."
"Horrible nothing new same every year."
"The women who is the director there is nothing but a rip- off, I called in regarding pricing for a day, the woman told me what the price is and after I took my kid there on the way to work then charge me another $10 difference. BSSSSht never again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
