"Overall, I've had an average experience at this school. The staff is very sweet, professional, and show concern for the children's well-being. The only downside is the curriculum, which is not very visible to the parents. I have little visibility into what my child does during the day (i.e. activities, songs, books, lessons, experiences). Occasionally, I would get a note that he is doing an activity, but that happens maybe once or twice a week. It's unclear what happens the rest of the day/week. A summary report at the end of the day would be nice to see what the class did that day. It's possible that they do one activity and then just play the rest of the day, but I hope that my money is going further than just babysitting. I can see that he is developing but I'm not sure he is developing at the same rate as he was in the previous day care where his progress was clearly communicated and a weekly curriculum was provided in detail. Which brings me to the topic of a progress report. How is he developing? Is he on track? It's unclear as information on his daily progress is limited or nonexistent. I would also like to see more healthy options added to the snack menu aside from crackers, fruit bar, and goldfish. While the curriculum is not as strong as other centers of this caliber (and price), I still feel that my child is well taken care of and loved and is happy to be here every day."
"I've been very happy with La Petite Gaithersburg. The Gaithersburg location has been wonderful. The staff is always pleasant and personable and I've noticed my son thriving in this environment and learning things. It's a vast difference from La Petite DC where I didn't feel the staff was particularly well trained and engaged or followed a curriculum."

"We have had very excellent experience from this school as a couple of our children who are now 12 and 8 years' old went through the same pleasant experience as out current soon to be 3 year old is having"

"Excellent school with professional and caring teachers. They do an excellent job with the kids."
"I appreciated how accommodating they were with scheduling and rescheduling my tour when my work schedule changed. They seemed nice - but overall I felt like they should have been telling me more rather that just asking me if I had any questions. I am new to this and therefore don't necessarily know the questions to ask. There also felt that there were a larger number of children in the group than I was comfortable with. Even though they assured me that kids would be changing age groups it just felt like too many tiny humans for the staff to truly be following and engaging. I do like that the school seems to be all inclusive - snacks, diapers, meals etc. I also like that they are fully fenced and have age appropriate playgrounds for the different groups of children. I also appreciated the safety of the security entrance door that needed a code for entry to be near any of the children."
"Overall it has been a great experience with my daughter, but with my son, during his K-Junior year were too many changes in teachers and he was behind when he went to kindergarten, with my daughter there has been lot more consistency with teachers, and I hope that remains unchanged till she graduates this summer. :)"
"Over all the center is great. I am very happy with all teachers and support that I receive."
"Overall this school, especially in the last year has created consistency with the staff, not many turnovers. It happens that my daughter's teacher, Miss. Roxana, has had a great impact in my daughter's experience and we are very happy with the improved curriculum. While I am a bit worried, when she moves to pre-K room # 6, if she is going to have the same improvement. I was somewhat disappointed with Room# 6, a couple of years ago, when my son was attending. I think my daughter was exposed to more information at age 4 compared to my son at age 6. we'll see how it goes."
