"Overall my experience has been good.In the past, in the mornings I had to drop my daughter off in the infant classroom because there wasn’t a toddler teacher that started before 8AM. Because of that my daughter had to wear a diaper which I felt like was undoing everything we had taught her about potty training at home. I believe now they have a toddler teacher that starts before 8. Secondly, I am upset to know the school moves kids based on age not milestones. It seems like doing this holds kids back fundamentally/educationally.P.S. I hope that my complaints are not misconstrued as not caring for the teachers, because I do appreciate them. :)"
"I love the school so far. We are still adjusting to the new way of doing things at the school but my son has thrived here."
"The staff is amazing and we are very happy with the curriculum. We feel safe at the school and our child is really happy there. He is thriving beyond our expectations!"
"Overall I love this school because of great teachers and staffs. During annual meeting, teacher shares us very valuable information and approaches very profeasionally. Director is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I hope this school improves their maintenance in near future so that it improves the quality of care."
"I have found the Science-Technology-Engineering-Math (STEM) program to be good. In addition, there are very few schools offering a STEM curriculum. Finally, the safety at this school is better that almost all schools we visited."
"Teachers are always so nice and informative of my child, they keep me in the loop of their daily interactions and make sure to address any concerns I have, or any they. They make me feel feel very comfortable leaving my child there."
"All staff friendly, courteous, professional, attentive and very helpful. Everyone always is happy & smiling at this school. Staff attend to all children’s individual needs. We are extremely happy to have our child attend the 3-4 year preschool class here."
"We are generally happy with the experience. The director, and a few teachers we interact with leave something to be desired. I would recommend the location to others but I would warn them regarding mannerisms of the director."
"My overall experience has been ok. I feel like the school can do better with communicating things that have to do with my child such as transitioning into a different class. I found out my daughter was going into a different class everyday from her and not through the teachers or director which is unacceptable. I also had another experience where she was sent home sick for a fever. I would have appreciated a reminder that she can not attend the next day, but I did not. I brought my daughter to school the next day and the teacher brought it to my attention that she was not supposed to be there. This is something the director could have communicated over the phone when she called stating I have to pick her up. The school is great about communicating when fees are due but seem to lack the ability to communicate when it actually concerns my child well being. Also she is constantly sick which I understand happens but I end up having to take off work and still pay the same amount for daycare"
"The teachers and director at La Petite Academy have been amazing! Leaving my baby with them was tough at first but they have made the transition into daycare so easy! My son and us as parents love La Petite! I'd recommend this school to all!"
"I find that the teachers and Ms. Teresa truly care about the children. The relationship with Ms Michelle is still a bit awkward even after 2.5 years. Our conversations seemed forced and her comments to our concerns feel rehearsed."
"I love LAP in Gold River. The infant room teachers (specifically Ms Dorothy) are very loving and nurturing and make me feel good about leaving my baby with someone who cares as much for him as I do. We have transitioned to the next room and are getting to know our new teachers better still, but I also fee confident in their abilities as well. The facility is clean and colorful - very inviting. The codes and cameras at every entry point make me feel like my son is safe. I also love the Brightwheel app - my type A personality is satisfied when I see my sons daily activities, pictures, and videos."
"I love the teachers. They are friendly, warm, and kind. I feel like they care about my child and the other children. At times, it feels stressful dealing with the director and assistant director. They seem annoyed and bothered. Also, it is very strange that meetings take place between the director and parents in the lobby/desk area. Several times I have heard personal conversations about other children's needs and/or parent concerns that really should take place in the closed office."
"The facility is bright and welcoming, and the teachers are mostly wonderful (loving and engaging with the children). However, the Director and regional management seem to only be focused on their profits rather than the children. The management approach can cause the classrooms to be over-crowded and the teachers to be overextended. These conditions then cause turn over of both staff and children."
"The director needs to have a wake up call. She's condescending and not responsive to any issues. She does not support her staff."
