"I really appreciated the credit that we used to get when my son was sick or had to be out because he caught something from another kid (non-covid sickness). It's really hard some months to pay for daycare, so that credit really went a long way. When we were told that was going away I was a little disapointed becuase my child getting sick is not always in my control, and I have to trust that other parents are not bringing their sick child to daycare. Since we enrolled there have been very few days that my son has not been sick and it seems to be a cycle that keeps happening. So even if he isn't there I am still paying full price for his spot. This week for example, he's been out 3 days due to sickness and I don't have an alternate plane for care so I have ot work and take care of him. Just wish the policy was more in favor of parents with young children."
