"So far we really like it here. Our child seems to enjoy it and there are a a few teachers that are especially good and exceeds our expectations. There were a few issues that came up but they were communicated to us and dealt with immediately. We just want our child to be in the safest environment, with staff and teachers that truly care about our children. Feeling like she is safe and being taken care of is most important. But also wanting to see that all the staff and teachers are there because they want to be there and they care about our children is very important. We want to know that she is not just being baby sat, but she is also getting the mental stimulation and physical activity. Tuition at any childcare is expensive but if it is necessary then having our child's needs met and providing our family with all that we ask for is worth it in the long run."
"I stated most of my concerns in previous questions, but to summarize: -on the high end of affordable for dual income coparents. -on pickup, things feel disorganized. You can get through both sets of doors behind another parent entering a code pretty easily, which makes me a little uneasy. -management seems friendly enough, but when issues arrive, they are slow to act and have made me feel like I have to advocate for my child’s safety in class. They are slow to accept responsibility, and in this last instance did not file any injury reports even after my son was bitten several times (2-3 of those times were on the head) -price changes are only communicated via a piece of paper they hand out. Neither I nor my coparent received notice, and when I asked about why the price change occurred, the representative quickly sought to establish blame over anything else. -Jessica is our classroom teacher and is absolutely fabulous. She is the reason we have stayed with this location."
"We absolutely love the support staff. Justine in the office is amazing, she has been the best change you guys made this past year. Care level changes based on age. We really love the main teacher in the 1 year old class."
"Love the teachers and director. Happy to have our children in this environment. Staff care greatly about their jobs and the kids."
"Overall, our experience hs been ok. A couple of our concerns include:1. Lack of teacher/parent communication - we've had to rely on Zoe to communicate recent events at school. i.e. falls/injuties.2. Several bullying incidents with the other preschool kids3. Lack of formal parent-teacher conference/feedback on child's progress.4. Preschool teachers are not very experienced/mature it seems to handle all the kids. Things often don't get caught or addressed.5. Cleanliness - Zoe has gotten sick more times than I can count compared to her old daycare. I'm not sure how the cleaning/hygiene is handled but it can be improved upon."
"I have had a generally good experience with this school. Some teachers are better than others but for the most part, they have been caring and the kids love them. One thing I think needs to be improved is communication with parents regarding children's behavior and class shifts. More than twice my children have moved classes during the day and I have not been alerted. While I know they are safe, I generally feel like I have to ask a ton of questions to find out why and where and for how long they moved. Developing a progression plan with parents could solve this issue so that we are prepared to help our children navigate the changes. Additionally, the financial changes related to moving classrooms is not clear and requires specifically asking for information. I regards to behavior-I have asked teachers to work with me for particular issues so that we can handle things as a team and I have never gotten support for that. I have good kids but every child needs coaching for development."
"Great management and very friendly staff. The center has a great atmosphere."
"Amazing, really love them, would love it more if the teachers stayed longer and didn't have a turn around."
"The attitude and sincerity of the director towards the classroom teachers and students did not come across as one of friendliness nor compassion. The director gave the impression that she was not well connected with the education of the children (other schools' directors knew the names of all of the children present and interacted with them on a personal level) nor was she on friendly terms with her teachers. We ultimately chose a center that provided a warm and welcoming environment for both parents, students, and the teachers."
"Teachers are excellent. They really care my child."
"I love my daughter’s teachers and other kids in her classroom. Teachers are always welcoming and greet the kids with enthusiasm. I love that every now and then we get a photo or report of something our child did new in the classroom. It makes me feel teachers pay attention and encourage learning new skills in the classroom which is very important go us."
"It has a LOT of room for improvement."
"I am so impressed with this school! They absolutely love my daughter and that’s the best thing I could ask for. Besides that, they potty train, provide breakfast, lunch & snacks, have the kiddos make a craft daily, encourage them to play & move their bodies, and teach them how to be a part of a group!"
"The baby room was amazing, the toddler room was terrible. The school brought a toddler into the baby room, didn't watch the toddler properly and that toddler bit my baby that wasn't able to move or defend itself. As far as training goes, when a child falls and hits their head, I wasn't notified. I eneded up taking my child to the ER to confirm they were ok. For head injuries, the parent should always be called. The school needs to work on hiring better teachers, training them, hiring teachers that engage with the children, read books to the children, and the school really needs to work on the food quality. I know 3 parents that are looking for a new daycare."
"We transferred our daughter to this location from Mukilteo due to the convenience of location. Thus far, our experience and interaction with the teachers has been mediocre. The teachers at the other school were extremely friendly, engaging, and always talked about my daughter's day. ALWAYS. Unfortunately, this isn't the case here. When I walk in, they just sort of look at you and quickly gather your belongings and say bye or have a good night. They don't spend the time to tell you how they did or what they did. I don't get photos, not that I need them daily or even weekly, but it would be nice to get a photo of my baby during the day. That's what we were told would be done when we initially visited this facility. The director is never there, the teachers don't say much, so it feels as though if I ever had an issue to discuss or had a request, I wouldn't know who I could go to. Just feels so impersonal when I walk in - especially when I'm leaving my daughter's care in their hands."
