"I would STRONGLY recommend reviewing the DHS reports on this school. There are problems with the ratios. There is a lack of maintenance on one of the doors. There is typically one safety issue (boxes stacked too high, chemical closet left open, teacher's purse left in the classroom open and unattended, etc). Kids get in trouble for playing in the dirt on the playground. Kids have been refused food in the early preschool classroom. At least one child was physically disciplined by a teacher. One child was placed in an extended time out for nearly an hour. Really ask some HARD questions if you think about this facility."

"I receive subsidy through DHS but still cannot afford the summer program. I was not even given a choice whether I wanted to enroll them in all the activities. They could have done without all the splurge items: backpacks, t-shirts, water bottles, etc. Most of the planned activities have changed for worse from last year and I haven't had one of my children excited about their outing when they returned the whole summer. I say keep it and do in class activities that are not costly or at least give us a choice. I would even be up to pay as you go on specific activities. The excitement at the center is gone. Some key staff members are gone for whatever reason and my children do not feel cared for anymore."

"When we started, we received a little piece of information on what our son did every day, on the daily sheet. Often I have to ask and am told only that he had a good day, rarely info on daily activities, and the daily sheet is just eat, sleep, and diapers."

"The toddler room was amazing! Other than the nutrition I was completely satisfied. Since he's transitioned I feel the new teachers are less engaged and enjoy working with children much less. He's had more incidents, is very fussy when I pick him up, and is very stressed when I drop him off. My stress level and worry about his safety has increased as well. I strongly dislike the behaviors of some of the teachers I have encountered since his transition. There is no continuity of care in his new room so he never knows what to expect from the teacher for the day. This create a barrier to learning that I'm concerned with and have considered leaving this facility for a stable facility."

"We really had a great experience at La Petite Academy. I liked all the teachers worked there. They were always friendly and my son learned a lot from La Petite. My son ha started going to public school pre-k program so he no longer there, however, I will bring back my 2nd son there when he turns 3."
