"We really love the school. Warm and caring stuff. The director is doing a great job in maintaining the high level of the school. We feel very comfortable and we definitely recommend on this school!"
"So far we have changed two different daycares and I love this one the most: teachers understand my child needs and I feel he's accepted and included. Thank you so much for your job!"
"Our experience with the school has been all over the place depending on who the director is that month. The turnover of staff and teachers is extremely high and has led to a substantial decrease in quality of service, but when you get a good director who hires good teachers and manages them well it's wonderful. Unfortunately that seems to be the exception and not the norm."
"It's been an exhausting rollercoaster with this school. Faculty keeps changing. We've seen 6 directors since my daughter started going to this school ... She's almost 3 years old."
"Has been great! We love the staff. The new director Heather has been a very good addition, Pushpa is a star, and really every teacher deserves recognition for the hard work and care they provide the children. The AC issue was random - not the staff’s fault. Would be nice if there were a couple more toys outside for the toddlers to play on / with."
"My experience has been great. All the teachers are very friendly and engaging. Each greets us by name during drop off and pick up. I am really happy that we picked this school for our kids, couldnt be happier with the staff. My daughter really looks forward to attending each day."
"Wouldn't recommend until they can get good teachers. It is a day care and not a place for children to grow and thrive. $2k for a day care is simply not worth it. My kid is not getting any individual attention. Constantly changing teachers. I find it hard to believe they have difficulty hiring good teachers with so much money they receive from each individual child. They can cut down positions like director, etc which doesn't add much value and just pay to have good teachers. The experience would be much better. The school cook is amazing and I hope they keep her but the food is pretty repetitive (cheese, pasta, pizza, soup). I think they can think of lot of creative and healthy options to feed kids and again a situation where nobody wants to spend time and effort. Overall very disappointed. Kids attend this center because other good options are already taken."
"I'm so sad to have chosen this school. You created a big trauma on my child, also put us in a horrible situation. We are working from home for almost 2 years, it has been a very difficult situation for all of us in Covid, but with 4days notice do you really expect us to either take off from work and entertain our kid or find an immediate opening in such difficult time? I really don't understand how you could have done this.."
"Very very positive until recent director departure and very poor experience with the recently departed director"
"The staff are doing their best, but our favorite teachers and administrators have all quit to go to better opportunities in the last 3 months. There is a serious problem with how La Petite is managing staff - either pay is not competitive, or there are other issues with professional development or company culture."
"Generally positive given the challenges due to the pandemic, but director and staff turnover is a serious concern. Would love to see the next director take significant action in proactively meeting with parents and guiding the school through this difficult time with more stringent policies on vaccinations while also allowing a more normal experience in the classroom (e.g. allowing us to drop off children in their classroom again if the parents show proof of vaccination and wear a mask). Consistency in communication with any administrative change - be it pricing or teacher turnover - would be appreciated as well given the limited interaction we get with teachers and the classroom due to the pandemic. We do love the detailed activity notes that we receive each day from our primary teacher and want to see those kept up and we also appreciate the recommended activities to do at home that are included in those notes. It is clear the staff care deeply about kids and that shines through even through the pandemic."
"Overall it's been positive, but there has recently been a director change and some of the staff have left. I was unimpressed with my first few interactions with the new director. I see an opportunity for the school's leadership to coach them on how to move into a new environment and establish themselves as a leader. My first interaction was picking my son up. The director answered the door, asked who I was there for, and then went to get them. No introduction or confirmation of who I was. I could have been a complete stranger. Also, it was a missed opportunity to get to know the parent and introduce themselves. The whole experience made me feel uncomfortable with them in charge of my son's care."
"On the one hand, we feel our child is loved and cared for. However, their covid protocols have been lacking, and their responses have been disappointing and dismissive."
"It’s been fantastic! This is our second family"
"Matty, Susannah, and all of the teachers at La Petit are amazing professionals that genuinely care for my child's education and well being. We've had our 5 year old there since he was one and our 7 month old will be starting in a few months. We're very fortunate to have found a daycare, teachers, and staff that we can rely on for our child's wellbeing."
"Everything is great, both our daughter and us love the school, curriculum and teachers. The only issue is that she has a very little sleep since she was born, and she struggles big with night sleep if she sleeps too long or too late at school. I asked the school to wake her up at 2pm but they said that this is against the rules. I wish I can write a consent letter for my daughter so she can be woken up at 2pm."
