"I absolutely love this long and everything it has to offer for my daughter!"
"Very friendly staff, genuinely care about my child's learning and development."
"My general experience has been positive with this school. I appreciate the kindness shown to my child by the teachers and director. There are 2 things I would like to bring to your attention: 1) There are multiple large potholes at the entrance and exit of the facility. When it rains, they are very hard to navigate, and I am concerned I could damage my car.2) Tablets have recently rolled out and can be seen daily at pick-up (between 4-6). Previously students played with each other during this time. I am wondering if they are being over-utilized? One reason I enrolled my child in day care was to build their social/emotional interactions with other kids. When the tablets are on, the students do not interact at all. Would it be possible to have a day on/day off with the tablets to allow students more time to have peer interactions? Those are my only two concerns. I truly appreciate what this day care does and wish it continued success!"
"I’ve seen such a great improvement in my child’s social interaction. The director and teachers have been amazing and have made me feel very comfortable with my child’s transition into this school."
"We are very thankful that La Petite has taken such great care of our son and truly has assisted in his growth and development ."
"Great teachers, very clean. My kids love going to school here."
"For the actual teachers to smile more be more friendly and actually talk and speak to parents and also be more nuturing to students."
"-You should have someone pose as a new employee and have them spend time in each classroom to get a true picture of what goes on at the school. Everyone puts on a different face when management is around. -I am pretty sure naptime is a fire hazard. teachers must step over furniture and other cots to get to all of the children and if there is a fire, I worry that kids will get unnecessarily hurt-My child told me that at lunch time a teacher shoved beans in another child's mouth because she didn't want to eat her lunch-The majority of the teachers do not know enough basic English to help kids develop their vocabulary as they start to talk. Also, when I ask a questions, it is clear that the teachers do not fully understand and I end up just ending the conversation without resolution. -Toys are not washed regularly-The wood chips are so sharp in the play yard that they can pierce your shoes-the door to the play yards close and the teachers have to bang on the doors and windows until someone hears them and lets them in. If a children gets seriously hurt they have no way to get help-the inside front door is often propped open as the staff walk around the building. Children could easily wander outside as the student to teacher ratio does not allow the teachers to truly supervise the children. -Frozen breast milk should be allowed and there should be more than one rocking chair to feed 6 + babies. This is not really a breastfeeding friendly environment - After a child has transitioned, they continue to bring the child back into the old classroom. This is not helpful or developmentally allowing the children to grow. this makes the transition much more difficult on the child. -a first aid kit is not readily available to all teachers.I believe the teachers genuinely care about the students and want what is best, they are just not educated enough on child development, given the appropriate processes and procedures, or a manageable class size."
"Never will recommend or ever be back!! Sorry La Petite has lowered their standards in childcare!!!"
"I have had a great experience at La Petite Academy. The director, Mrs. Disney, is very professional, caring, and knowledgeable. She gave me a proper tour of the facility and answered all of my questions regarding childcare. My son is less than a year old, so he is in the infant room. The room is designed to be developmentally appropriate, clean, and safe. Specifically, the teachers stimulate and engage my son by holding him, playing with him, singing to him, telling him stories, encouraging tummy time, letting him look at himself in the mirror, encouraging exploratory play, using music, allowing him to take naps and rest as needed, and much more. It is a very safe, caring, stimulating environment and I have seen my son grow in various developmental domains including cognitive, physical (fine and gross motor skills), and social/emotional. I look forward to seeing him grow while receiving care at La Petite Academy, and I wish more places were doing what this childcare facility does to provide high-quality education and care to the children."
"Great! Teachers really care about the kids."
"I think my child likes it here, bit I think more staff should be added in an attempt to decrease altercations and incidences of child personal harm"
