"La Petite is an amazing childcare center. My family switched over to La Petite during the pandemic because our previous childcare center was not handling the situation in a way we felt comfortable. The switch was the best thing we have done. The staff is amazing, especially Mrs. Julie and Mrs. Isabelle! My little one sometimes has had an issue with transitioning classes and they have always worked with him! I highly recommend this center to anyone that asks!"

"My son whom is 3 years old has been attending the La Petite Academy in Midvale for a few months now. He was placed in a preschool room. One reason I chose this particular daycare are for the reasons they provide camera access to the parents to check in throughout the day. We've had nothing but great experience from the first day my son started attending this daycare.

On a random day I decided to check in on my son to see how his day is going and I was baffled at what I discovered. His caretaker who's he's had since day one was physically disciplining him . I seen my son start to have a toddler tantrum and try to fall out of his chair the teacher grabbed him by his arm tightly as I had a clear view from the camera and lifted him up halfway by one arm points with her other hand in his face screaming at him and shaking his body slightly back and forth with her other hand as she holds his arm. My son is visibly crying hard as I can see. I couldn't believe this was happening. My son immediately run to another teacher and receives a hug from her and she starts to comfort him. I immediately log off the app and call the front desk which the director and the assistant director was out of the building at this time so I told whoever was covering the front desk which was a male to go in my son's room and talk to the caretaker do not handle my son this way I would pick him up early.

As I go to pick up my son the director and assistant director have no idea regarding the situation they were not let know about what had happened as if this wasn't a big deal. The following day the caretaker was back at his classroom as if nothing had happened as if she just got a slap on the wrist and everything was okay . I assume she received no disciplinary action at all since she arrived back at the school the next day working her full hours.

I'm currently in the process of filing a Statement of Allegations. As I can see the director of this facility does not see this as Serious situation by letting this teacher come back to the same classroom the following day I will be reporting her and the day caretaker."
