"Mostly great. Teachers are caring and the kids really love them. Summer program could be better. Some advertised activities weren't done at all, or were seemingly at a half effort. Disappointing since we pay an extra fee in the summer for these particular events. More communication about changes like this would be ideal. Addressing bullying issues with more persistence and authority is definitely needed. It's ridiculous that many children are subjected to one child's consistently inappropriate behavior (pushing, scratching, biting, hitting) because the school administrator seemingly won't address the issue with the other parent, or caves under the threat of the other parent leaving and having their tuition fees lost. You may find you'll lose many more families and/or recommendations when issues like these are not addressed and rectified. Often, the affected child's parents are left in the dark about it all - just incident reports...about the same behavior happening over and over again. What is being done when the bad behavior it is affecting more than one child at the school and/or classroom? It is not up to the teachers to have to referee all day when there is a clear issue with one, and it's just that no one wants to address it. These kids are too young to be consistently dealing with this kind of thing already. I wish the school more pro-active in dealing with it."

"The teachers at this school have really worked w/ my child to make sure he is safe and happy. They have dealt w/ his daily vomit, his helmet and glasses. They have all smiled and communicated all of their concerns. I couldn't say enough positive things about the teachers in Ventura, La Petite."

"We have truly enjoyed having our son at La Petite. Everyone is friendly and cheerful. My son has shown great improvement with his social skills and I am very pleased with the curriculum. Mrs Monica is the best teacher, my son is so happy to see her. She makes learning fun and she understands how to handle my sensitive young man. I do feel it is one of the more expensive schools and they don’t have the best resources for information about registration rates or increase in tuition. I also have been in many situations at drop off and pick up where no one was available at the front desk. Overall we are very pleased."

"This school was the only school I contacted that was willing to care for my son who had severe reflux/gerd. The teachers went out of their way to communicate what happened throughout the day w/ my son which helped me as his parent, but also helped all of his doctors. No one ever complained and everyone tried so hard to help my son through the his daily issues w/ his illness. I could not have gone back to work full-time w/out the help from the teachers at La Petite Ventura. I will be forever grateful of their love and support for me and my child."

"In general, we have had a great experience. We love the long term teachers, but there has been turnover recently in many classrooms. In class bullying is to be somewhat expected on occasion when it comes to 3 year olds, but chronic incidents involving one offending child should be stopped, even if it means asking that child to leave. Staff needs more in-class support to see these incidents and report them to parents on both sides. We pay too much money to attend this school to have things like this continue uncorrected. Also, it would be nice to have more advanced notice when it comes to things like picture day, etc. Recently, it seems like we don't get a lot of notice regarding upcoming events, or things are note being planned in advance as much as they used to. Communication regarding staff changes could be better as well. I'm not sure whether or not our school has a director or an acting director. This position has changed a lot since we have attended this school, and it's hard to keep up. We do appreciate the hard work of the staff, but these things can be improved upon."
