"I agree with everything said below about this place. DO NOT BUY anything from them. They are scam artists, they take your money and do not give you what you want. They also have horrible unprofessional attitude. They break contracts, commit fraud, and steel your money. I sincerely hope someone takes legal action against them, i just dont have the time/energy to do so over the couple hundred of dollars that they robbed from me....STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! "

"Never buy from this store!!! .I purchased two items in their Central Ave location. I specifically told the saleswoman that its essential for me to receive the bookshelves in no longer than 4 weeks. I even had her specify in writing in my invoice that if I don't receive my items in 4 weeks I shoud get a full refund and she comply. It took over 6 weeks and I received my first bookshelf. It is now August 10 almost 5 months later and I still haven't received the second shelf. 3 weeks ago I decided to visit their Saw Mill RD location, they admitted my second large bookshelf is out of stock from the manufacturer. I needed to visit their Saw Mill Road location to get the real truth, calling them will not help. I thought the issue was resolved, I spoke with a manager and he promised to return my money back for the second shelf.I'm entitle for a full refund but I decided to be reasonable and just get my money back for the second shelf even though my intention was to get a set. I saw him on a Monday and he promised by Wed my money will be credited to my credit card. Its been over 3 weeks and no money has been credited. I decided to visit again on a Saturday and see if I can speak to another manager and hope that I get a better outcome. It was even worst, I met a Sales Man which he ended up having a shouting match with my Fiance. At first Bill greeted me with a smile thinking we were customers but right after I told him my situation his tone changed and basically started ignoring me which infiuriated my FIance. I needed to tell my fiance to leave the premises and spoke with him man to man. He admitted that this types of situations happen frequently with them and that "the manager" has no power to give refunds nor him. He said that only the owner grant refunds and of course she's on vacation. I asked when she came back and he didn't know. After getting back home I did some research and saw they have plenty of unhappy customers. I regret not doing the research before the purchase ,it would have saved a lot of aggrevation. I don't trust none of them, and will go back tomorrow Monday to see what the manager has to say. If anyone has any complains with La-naj please feel free to email me at ****@****. I plan to continue the fight and will report them to the Westchester Dept of Consumer Affairs.
8/13 Follow Up:
My Issue with this company has been resolve. They refunded my money in a check. If anyone else has similar issues like I did, don't give up be persistent and hopefully your outcome will be the same as mines.

"DO NOT EVER EVER BUY FROM THIS STORE. We had ordered a sleeper sofa. We were only shopping for a queen sleeper and paid for a sleeper - the salesman promised us that that model only came in a sleeper. Well, firstly due to some fabric problems, the order came about 6 months later! and not only that, there was no sleeper bed in it. La Naj refuses to give me a sleeper nor does it agree to refund my money. I am even ready to take a 30% stocking fee hit, but they just refuse. Now, I am stuck with a sofa i dont need.
I will be pursuing legal action against them

"I purchased a sectional and ottoman from the store in Nanuet. Since the ottoman was on back order, I had to pay two delivery charges. There were many delivery issues with the sectional,including the delivery men coming 2 hours too early and then yelling at me that no one was there. I contacted the store I purchased the items from and was told by a salesman, "What the hell do you want me to do about it?". After two attempts, the sectional was delivered and I was told to expect the ottoman in 8-12 weeks. In October, I received a call that the ottoman was still not available and would not be until December. In December, I was told that it would be available in January. In January, I was told that they did not think they would get the shipment; I should cancel the order, get store credit and pick something else out. I did not want non matching furniture, that is why I purchased the ottoman with the sectional and requested a refund, only to be told that some people like an "eclectic look" and that it is against store policy to issue a refund. During this time, the store that I purchased the items from has closed. So I argued that after the TOTALLY INFURITAING experience, they have broken their contract and have had my money since July, but I STILL do not have the ottoman. I was told on 1/11/08 that a "refund was authorized" but now I have to wait until someone purchases something on an AMEX (the card that I utilized for part of the purchase originally) to cover the refund, before they can issue it to me!!! It is now 2/1/08 and they refuse to refund the money. I financed part of this purchase with their line of credit, interest free for 3 months. When I received the bill, there were only 2 months interest free before the interest kicked in. I contacted them only to be yelled at that why didn't I call sooner. During my dealings with this company, I have been lied to, had my intelligence questioned, been verbally abused and have had my money taken with no ottoman! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!! "

"Apparently, failure to deliver is a pattern with this store. We were having a party on the 29th of December and needed a bar set before that party. We went to the store on Saw Mill River Road in Yonkers, NY, and found what we wanted. We specifically asked the salesman (Norman) if we would have it before the 29th, knowing that it might be tough during the holidays. We also specifically said that if he could not assure us that it would arrive before the 29th, we didn't want it. He "checked" something and "scheduled" a delivery date of 12/20. Long story short, that date was never actually scheduled. A manager (Jeff) gave us a new delivery date of 12/27 and offered to take $60 off the delivery fee. At 8:00 that night, the truck shows up with the bar table, but no chairs. I am now in the process of demanding a full refund for outright lying to us (TWICE) then trying to appease us by giving us half of our order. They are only offering us store credit, but I will NEVER place another order with them.

FOLLOW UP #1: On 1/20/08, the table, which had been ordered for us, was seen being offered for sale as a "floor sample," as part of a set with the two chairs. The chairs, however, were NOT on the showroom floor, which leads me to believe that they are not, nor have they ever been, available. Note that they were trying to sell this item despite my dispute still being unresolved.

FOLLOW UP #2: On 1/29/08, La Naj issued a refund to my credit card, thanks in large part to the efforts of the Westchester County Consumer Protection Department. I also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the New York State Attorney General's Office. I stand by my original advice: AVOID THIS DISHONEST SELLER.

FOLLOW UP #3: As of August 2008, I am hearing numerous reports that this company has closed, possibly with the intention of opening another store elsewhere. Rumored locations include Central Avenue in Yonkers or the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown. I am in the process of collecting email addresses from people who still have undelivered furniture after making partial or full payments. If you are in a similar situation, please email me at mikegberg aol com, and I will forward you a list of websites to the various agencies that may be able to help you. Remember, you do not have to fight this battle alone.

"After reading the previous comments, I got nervous so I called the store to find out when I might expect to get this order which was paid for IN FULL on December 3. I really wanted this for Christmas, but was already told by the salesman that the item was not in stock and I would not get it before the new year although I have a "required date" of 12/20 (today). OK, I decided I would wait, but today Salesman tells me there's no way to communicate my desire for expedited delivery once the new year began, because everyone is on vacation until the new year -"that's the furniture business." I wish I had known that 'not in stock' means it would take a month to get to the store, and 'Required date' means whenever they damn well please. I am waiting to see when I will get this item and in what condition!!!"

"I am extremely dissatisified with the customer service at La Naj, Central Avenue. The dinning room table was delivered with a wax coating which when polished with Old English revealed a scratch right to the core of the wood. I was told nothing could be done because it was signed for and that is the La Naj policy, it could be fixed on my dime but I would be better off pricing it out myself and fixing it on my own. The buffet was delivered with a broken left door and a missing knob. I am still waiting for the knob since November 8. I am still waiting for the table pad top which was ordered on November 5, it is now December 4. The door was fixed however there was never a phone call to notify me that La Naj was sending someone out to my home. The model was a closeout sale and now I know why. I wish I had done my homework about La Naj."

"I am very dissatified with the service that I received from LaNaj. My husband and I went to the store, found the items we wanted and placed the order 3 days later (June 28, 2007). The salesperson did not have to work for his money as we did everything on our own, with the exceptions of literally placing the order and collecting money. We were promised the furniture the 20th of July and when I called to confirm on the 16 of july I got nowhere. I called back on the 18th and was told the order was just placed 3 days ago. I am furious because we are expecting our child, and I wanted the dresser and chest before her birth. (Might I add that I was told it would be delievered the 20th of July, as that is the only reason I went with this store)."

"The price quote was fair at the store. But had I known the mess they'll put us in, I would have gone with more realiable store for sure. The Delievery was little delayed on the furnitures from the "promised date". Considering it was during holiday season, understandable. THE REAL HORROR begun when the date of delivery. One of the furniture came in imcomlete. They took the whole money (because the certified check was for the entire order) and I am still in battle with them to get the refund after 2 months of struggle with AMAZINGLY HORRIBLE customer service. Items were re-ordered but it never came to wearehouse in tact. We have been more than reasonable as a customer but now we are demanding a full refund of this item. They are dragging this too long and customer service personnel seem incompetent of doing simple task as "calling back" or "sending a fax". They will pass you onto next person and will not resolve the issue at all. No one need to go through the mess like us, so... STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE, DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL ! "
