over 3.5 weeks for snail mail

I ordered from The Lakeside Collection but never again! One e-mail confirmation shows me paying :
total:18.10, ship $6.99 surcharge $3.00
But when I go to view order I get:
total : $18.30 Shipping 9.99

So, which is it? $18.10 or $18.30? shipping $6.99 or $9.99? According to their chart I should be paying $6.99 for shipping on my order total but they have me at $9.99 which is higher than the average for shipping. And they don't mention this Carrier surcharge any where. What is this for? Why am I paying this? Plus, If I AM the one paying for shipping, why is it taking over 3 WEEKS for me to get my items? I believe they are using SNAIL MAIL and probably paying less for the shipping so they can make money on the shipping that I am paying for!
And how are they going to show on their shipping rates "you save more for shipping with the more you buy"? I buy more and get free shipping from most companies! So I pay for shipping but LS sends it snail mail anyway so I save money or they make $$ on my shipping?

Lost package and fight for refund

"I placed an order the end of October and got confirmation that it had shipped. After waiting a month for it, I tracked the package with the FedEx tracking. It arrived in Indiana on November 4th, but no movement after that. When I called FedEx, they said that after 7 days, it is considered lost. I gave this information to Lakeside, after being on hold for over an hour and asked them to re-send the item. I was told the order had to be cancelled, refunded, and re-ordered. After all that, I was told she was not authorized to refund anything over $100 & that I had to call back and talk to the "main office". I called back during business hours & was told that the refund was issued and the item was re-ordered. The refund amount was $233 when I had paid $236 & she could not explain the difference but told me she was not authorized to give me the additional $3.00. The new order was now $260 vs. the $236 I had paid in October. I have called and sent four emails but the only thing I get is the auto-reply that says they will respond. They never do! It's only $3 but I will never buy anything from them again. "

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

"POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, GOT HUNG UP ON MULTIPLE TIMES! Computer system generated wrong address and when I called not 5 minutes later, the rep lied and said she changed my address. Requested a supervisor several times and was told they were too busy to speak to me. Sent several messages with no response. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!"

Misleading marketing and rude customer service

"I wanted to buy a small/light item that was discounted and got through to the checkout only to find that the shipping cost was $8.99 (half the cost of chosen merchandise). I removed item and decided not to buy. Today I received a text that by using a particular code I would get free shipping. I was excited and thought ok, they want my business and I’m getting a special “try us” bonus for something that would cost less than half that to ship via USPS. Nope, didn’t work...said I did not meet the minimum $55 to get $5 shipping, or $75 free shipping. I thought ok I am going to let customer service know that this type of marketing strategy was not enticing but rather annoying. Janet, my chat rep let me know that “knowing codes I would have checked further.” Well, when you get a corporate text message that says “use this code **** for free shipping” that’s what you expect to get. She then says, it says clearly on website what the shipping minimums are for shipping discounts. Then don’t send me texts that say otherwise! I have removed myself from all corporate correspondence. No more purchases there."

Worst customer service

"Short version after waiting 2 months for my product and telling them to cancel they still sent I did 2 chats to get a return label still waiting. The product is now at Goodwill and I just eat the money. When I ordered I was told all products where in stock. I will tell all my friends and family not to use plus one item sent was broken "

Ok products

"Have ordered from them a few times and most time get in within 2 weeks. The customer service is the issue and when get wrong product or broken takes forever to fix. The worse part if.they give you a label.to return to.them.they take.that off.credit back
Also had were sent back and got.receipt.received and for week.kept.saying didnt.have.yet.

They sell your private information!!

"Shortly after a small purchase, I started receiving numerous calls on my cellphone, to date 87!! And still coming. I’m on state and national no call list for years which doesn’t seem to matter. Even though their online rambling disclaimer for using your personal information is ambiguous, I emailed their customer service to ask what the deal is. They were the only recent company that had my personal info and was told by the person-“yes we sell your information-you have to tell us if you don’t want us to.”
These calls are coming from all over the world, even though I never answer unknown callers it is annoying and upsetting they brazenly sell your info, what else are they selling?
I’ll never order their cheap junk again!

"ordered on the 19 wed site said it will be delivered on 12/20 check stats on the 19th via phone said it will not be delivered till the 25th interesting . i spoke to 3 people two hung up on me after saying they were transferring me to a supervisor. the third said so could not cancel the order and that there is no supervisor to talk that she only works there and can only note the account.
I want it canceled ......... i spend 3 hrs looking for something to use as a presentation for a Christmas gift i ordered it because it said it will be delivered by the 20th . This is not exceptable .

AWESOME

"I always order a huge Christmas order every year. Great customer service. No issues. They pull the money for each item separate & in weird amounts but it all equals out correctly. I just buy a one time use gift card so I don't need to keep track of the trickling total. I've been doing $300-$700 purchases for about 6 years without complaint"

Charges you, doesn't deliver

"I had placed a large order in September 2019 and 3 items on my e-receipt were listed as shipping direct from the manufacturer. I only received 1 of those items, but was still missing 2 items that totaled more than $70. Numerous emails, a 40-minute phone call and many promises that they would ship in 5 days and I still don't have the MLB merchandise or a refund and it is December 2019."

"i did not sign up for the perks and was charged 14.95 and i was told to enjoy the perks till the end of the month. i didn't want the perks and i will never order from them again. Very sneaky and not professional to charge you when you never signed up. they have lost another customer."

Buyer Beware

"Buyer Beware: Products listed on-line will sometimes show the dollar amount as " £ " instead of " $ ". When I called customer service today because one e-mail stated the dollar amount as " £ " instead of the normal " $ " another one stated it as " $ ", they said that they were unaware of this. Look to see how much my card is charged and they will refund the difference. I'm not holding my breath."

Terrible customer service

"I am a first time customer. I placed the order and saw an error immediately and called customer service. They said they couldn’t see my order with the confirmation number. They told me to call back in 30 minutes. I did this 6 times with the same results. Finally, a rep told me to wait until the next day. I called the next day and the rep said a supervisor would be calling. No one called. I called back that afternoon and they said it was too late. I would have to call back when I had a tracking number. The rep said when I got that, they would fix the error and send out a new item immediately without making me wait. He said he would make a note in the interaction record to speed the process for me. I got the tracking number, called back and got an extremely rude rep named John. I explained and he said that he wasn’t going to read the interaction record and the rep that told me anyone would doesn’t know what he is talking about. If I could give zero stars, I would. Never again."

buyer beware

"I ordered shoes from them for 10.52 they charged my credit card 11.00 on 10-22 then they removed the charge of $11.00 on 10-25 when I called them they stated well they charged the 11.00 to see if the money was on my VISA really !!! it was a foreigner on the phone so Im not surprised, its a credit card idiots, so I stated they were comitting fraud with my credit card, and dont send the order out, she stated it went out yesterday (although there is no tracking info stating that) because I checked I asked to speak with a person higher up, of course not, but she said, when you received the shoes you can send them back, NOPE will dispute the charge TODAY and get it over with DONT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE"
