Will not RMA Switch with know issue and Field Notice from Cisco.

Cisco has owed this issue, talked with TAC, they would do the RMA, however, since I purchased this through a partner, would need to go back to the point of purchase and they will do the RMA - Lansteet. While this switch was purchased awhile ago, the FN states that it would be taken care of for this issue.

Lansteet will not honor the Field Notice in any way shape or form, as this was purchased too long ago. While you may get some great prices from these gray market copies, they do not stand behind anything they sell. Also, the person I talked with on the phone became very rude and would not even look at the Field Notice regarding the product.

"Ordered a smart net contract from them, 2 weeks ago for an ASA 5505, and they say they they don't have it cause Cisco is backed up? Also this same 5505 they sold me as new turns is actualy USED? And since I just found out that it's really used while getting info from smartnet, it's over 30 days and they won't return it?

BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE DISHONEST, THEY SELL USED GEAR AS NEW!!!

"Ordered a HP Procurve 4000M network switch by phone. Called to be sure that it was in stock as I needed it fast. Order processed fine and the item was shipped immediately. What we received was obviously somebody elses return as the device was not correctly repackaged. We have about ten of these so we know what to expect. The styrofoam end caps were broken and peanuts were added to the box. Since the switch was not encased in its original plastic bag little styrofoam balls got inside the device. The RS232 plug was completely jammed with styrofoam. We spent a hour complelely disasembling the switch to clean out all the little styrofoam balls. So other than the fact that we received a NOT NEW item and had to spend a hour cleaning it the order went fine."

"Fantastic experience. Accidentally ordered 64-bit wireless card instead of 128-bit wireless card. They responded to email within FIVE MINUTES and had me set up to RMA the silver card and get a new gold card immediately. Very low prices, fantastic customer support, and no return hassles. I couldn't recommend Lanstreet more."

"I purchased two cisco routers. They were advertised as new. After contacting cisco with the serial numbers I found out they were refurbished. Lanstreet refused to replace with new since we were over the 30 return period. I would watch out for selling refurbished equipment as new."

"Unbelievable combination of price and service. Lowest price on pricewatch and it was accurate, no hidden handling fees etc.

I used their "ask an expert" email link on the web site to confirm the ammount of ram and cables on the routers I was going to order and got an answer within an hour.

I ordered two cisco 2611 routers new in box and they only charged $10 shipping. The package arrived in a day and a half!

A very pleasant surprise.
