"I purchased a "refurbished" iPhone 5 for my teen son in March 2016 from this company through Amazon. I gave it to him for his birthday in April. It worked fine for three months and then suddenly stopped receiving calls and texts. Of course, this all happened while he was away on a five-week summer program four hours away. When we went to ATT to find out the problem, they told us is was reported STOLEN and ATT had shut it off. The local store reactivated it for us, but within the week, the same problem. Unfortunately for us, the return policy is 30 days to report a problem and 45 days to return it. Both Laptop Aid AND Amazon refused a refund or return even though this property was STOLEN. I will NEVER buy electronics through this company or Amazon again. So much for customer service. Marcus Screwtus."
"Ordered a specific motherboard and a week later received wrong motherboard. 'Contacted them email only responses. Told to mail board back and they can replace or refund. Another week lost and I've sent the return and they acknowledge receipt. Did not want replacement and just wanted refund. Was sent confirmation that refund was done. Sounds good. Right, except here it is over a month later and no refund nor response to several attempts to find out where, how refund to my acct. was done. Currently contacted card to investigate the charge and unaccounted claimed refund. My experience thus far with laptopaid.com was very disappointing. Would recommend a brick and mortar business, laptopaid equals poor customer service, slow response time (my case no response), waste of time and my funds still not returned. #notafan"
"I ordered a "Factory un-locked Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone" from Laptopaid via ebay. When I received it, it was 'Verizon phone that was un-locked'. It has all the apps of Verizon, which I don't need and it makes the cell-phone slow and laggy. I wrote a -ive review on ebay. The very next day Nancy (Client Satisfaction Manager) emailed me that, offering me a 30$ and told to write a positive review by deleting the -ive one. On top of that, my cell phone screen has turned yellowish-Green. I have to complaint to Ebay, Laptopaid wasted my time and money."
"I purchased a Verizon phone from their site but it turned out to be a Sprint phone. No apology was offered, no help finding a replacement when I asked for one, and no offer to pay for expedited shipping for a new phone because it was THEIR MISTAKE. I did not ordered the wrong phone they falsely advertised the wrong phone. It was not cheap and more importantly it is a huge waste of my time. It takes at least two weeks to get the phone, get the sim card, and set up the phone only to find out they sent the wrong phone. Now I have another two weeks until I get the situation fixed. It would have cost nothing to say I am sorry, we messed up and admit your company made a mistake and then try to help fix the situation but that never happened, not even close. I was told I could not talk to a supervisor and that I would get a call back. No one called back. Hey Nancy, thanks for not helping me! Have an amazing day!!"
"I purchased a phone that was advertised as being in "great condition". When in reality the phone would not even stay on once turned on. I called to have a new one sent to me and received horrendous service. I tried to ask to speak to management and they would not put them on the phone."
"DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS. They sold me a broken phone with a bum battery. They replaced the battery (in a very unhasty manner while refusing to pay for the overhead costs associated with the replacement, i.e. they made me replace it myself and refused to pay for the tool kit I had to buy to do the replacement) so that the broken phone would survive just long enough to escape their warranty period (and left me unable to detect that the phone was broken since I could not use it due to the bum battery) and then when I discovered the actual phone was broken they refused to refund my money, respond to my emails or return my calls."
"stay away with this company"
"I have ordered parts from laptopaid and they have been of good quality. However, once I had to return a part and their customer service representative offered me store credit for returning the item. I accepted the store credit because they said it NEVER expires. I have 2 emails stating that the store credit NEVER expires. Several months later, when I purchased another part, they said my store credit had expired!! So now I am out $ 79.98!!!"
"After doing some research, I ordered an IPhone 5 in excellent condition from them. I recieved the phone in longer time than what was mentioned on their site. However, when I recieved the phone, charger won't work. C'mon! That's a basic thing to check when sending a phone. I don't have time to call them and run through the whole cycle to get it replaced. If you really care about your customers, you should do your job properly."
"What a disaster. We ordered 2 iphone 5's in excellent condition. Received phones with defective parts (volume switch, headphone jack, dead spots on screen). Ended up going thru 7 different phones before we got one that worked properly- got a refund on the second one because we gave up. This transpired over 4 months. Took almost 2 weeks to get replacement phone each time. They say they double check the phones to be in working order but they don't. What a mistake we made "
"I ordered an iPhone5 US version and informed them that I'm looking for the US GSM version and not the European version but I got the European version. After returning the item I never got credit and they stopped communication. I tried now for several month but nothing. Liars and cheaters! Prevent to buy here!"
"Laptop Aid is a good company that drop ships from N & K Trading located in north brunswick, NJ. In my opinion N&K trading is very unprofessional. N&K trading is very shady. There address states shipping dept. Also when you call they don't acknowledge N&K trading. They specifically announce "Shipping Department" When asking they do not say a name. Paypal confirms N&K trading. This company is 100 percent for making a buck. Do not care about consumers. Countless times we receive the wrong parts or defective parts. Sadly alot of good people like ScreenAid.com which is a good company. Trying to give customers a one stop shop for computer parts get wrapped up in other non caring companies because they offer the cheapest product. To sum up my brutally honest review. ScreenAid is a good company. In a sense of customer support. But, My repair company cannot recommend purchasing from them. We have had bad experience with their dropship warehouse (N&K trading) for over a year now. We have decided to pay a little more to a better company."
