"I ordered a power jack to repair a damaged one on a client's laptop. I received it quickly and in perfect condition. Very pleased and so was my client because the repair was time critical."

"The service was horrible. I ordered a new jack for my laptop and was told it was the wrong part by several repair people at the location I took it to. I just find it very hard to believe that multiple people would have trouble installing a standard part like a jack if it was in fact meant for the laptop.

The fact that Laptop Jacks doesn't even note the model information for the jack on the invoice, any of the order documents and emails, or the package itself makes the whole situation even more suspect and I'm pretty sure they just sent me an incompatible jack (the part where I plug my charger into the jack isn't even the correct shape).

To be fair, they took the time to talk to the repair people to give instructions on how to install, but that's more or less useless when you're working with a part that's not even meant to be installed.

I also asked about having the bogus 20% "restocking fee" waived since having to return the part was all on them, but haven't gotten a response. I just regret ordering from them in a rush rather than looking around at other sellers (the part is also absurdly overpriced, I later found out).

Edit: The claim that I was offered an install is completely false. No one ever mentioned that option in all the phone calls I had with these guys. I'm sure my experience probably isn't typical, but the situation really could've been handled better. "

I choose this store because was the cheaper that I found (even including shipping) and because was the supplier of the cheapest store I found in Spain.
