"Own a Toshiba High End P505 (now X505) and had a key pop off when support bracket broke. Laptop just out of warranty and Toshiba Service quoted $175 + shipping to repair (keyboard). "It was a bit difficult to identify exactly which keyboard I had, and therefore which key switch I needed. The keytop itself was undamaged -- it was the small nylon moulding that attaches the key to the keyboard that was broken. The help from the people at Laptopkey.com could not have been more helpful. "Bought a brand new i5 model Acer Laptop, accidently spilled Georgia SWEET tea on it and all the keys got stuck. Acer wanted several hundred $ to fix. I would need to remove all my data and programs before sending in for repair. I tried to clean keyboard with Electronic contact cleaner recommended by the store where I just (2 wks ago) purchased Laptop. Big mistake cleaner said OK for most plastics, sprayed on and froze the keys and the began pooping off like "fleas on a dog".
