"This review is coming from someone that purchases products online almost daily. I have dealt with numerous companies and the service and products they provide has always been acceptable or above but Leather Coats Etc. is the worst company that I have ever encountered. They do not have email as a contact option. If your merchandise is defective you can't send pictures. If you call and leave a voicemail they don't return your call. They send out damaged product and expect for you to keep the junk they send. If you decide that you shouldn't be paying for Second Hand merchandise and want to return it, they don't have courtesy return labels. You have to pay to return the damaged goods. I don't mind paying for returning quality merchandise if it was my fault for ordering lets say, the wrong size. But if they send a leather jacket that has peeling leather as well as white marks on black leather, along with gashes in the leather just to name some of the defects. I understand about natural hide markings but not poor quality control in production and the release of such items for purchase as first quality. The total experience with this company has been horrible. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. Companies like this one should not be in business. "
"Beware! I bought this coat on sale for $260 in late April last year (2017) and hung it in my closet planning to wear it in the fall. When I wore it over Christmas, for the first time, the leather on both lower sleeves started splitting. I bought the coat in Black in 2005 and I have worn it every winter and loved it. So, this year I decided to replace it with a newer one. The quality is terrible and the most disappointing thing is that the company would not stand by their product. If you don’t return it in 30 days, you bought it! Even if the coat starts falling apart. Now they can't find my order and yet one of the people I spoke with (out of 4) found the order for the coat in 2005."
"The biggest warning I need to give to everyone, when you create an account at Leather Coats Etc., they send an email to you containing the password you created the account with. This means, the password you gave them to create the account, they have now broadcast to the entire world. I do not know if they will send an email if you change your password. They do not warn you that they are going to compromise your password by sending you this email - SO BE WARNED, use a temporary password when creating a new account. Likewise, use a second temporary password when you first change your password after creating an account until you know if they will compromise any changes to your password. If they do not compromise a changed password, then you can change to a permanent password. I sent a nasty email to customer service about this. I received an automatic reply saying they would respond in 2 business days - weeks later, I still have not received a reply. The product I ordered was acceptable and delivered promptly but the password issue on account creation is a MAJOR ISSUE especially with all of the various web sites lately failing to protect customer information (Blue Cross/Blue Shield security breach, US Office of Personnel Management security breach, etc.) why would a company send their customer's account password in an email??????"
"There must be more reviews other than this one, How ever if this is the 1st, it will be the best ! I have bought myself a leather coat, on sale, lst for $299 and I paid $69 & the quality is perfect. I bought my wife three leather coats, all she loves and bought them on sale as well, saving again over $300 and every coat is made from well known MFG.'s , if I had bought these coats at a retailer store I would have paid three times more on the sale items , and the coats not on sale do sell for less than retail too. I LOVE THIS STORE !!!"
