"Be careful, there's an awful lot of junk sold, make-believe products, amongst some other good product.
For example, most of the quick cheap lighting (cheap) and things like some cutting tools (the prior Fein blade knock-offs were garbage).
It's too bad that the company went from a premier supplier to 'let's just make money'.
And it explains why there isn't an option for product reviews on the site.
Most questions emailed to the the company aren't answered, and no questions regarding customer feedback are answered.
No doubt more money is being earned, but buyer beware!

"Ordered an item a week before Mother's Day and never heard from them other than confirmation of order. On May 31st, after inquiring where my product was, I finally received an email that the item was backordered and not expected in their warehouse until July 12th. A 2.5 month delay with zero communication and no notifications! Highly disappointed in their professionalism."
"Every package I've received has been complete and in working order. Have never had to return a tool or other item. I do think the time between ordering and shipping could be improved but it's only because Amazon has me used to 2 day prime shipping. It's not realistic to expect from everywhere else. As far as quality... I've gotten my money's worth. From hand saws to the planes I'm happy with everything. Keep up the good work and it's too bad so many people are quick to click 2 stars because they had to wait a few days."
"Like a previous review, I found the website fine to order from but terrible as far as the time it takes to ship, I ordered on a Friday and they billed me on the following Monday. When I phoned on Tuesday to see when it would ship, they said sometime today. The customer service rep told me they don't bill until the order is shipped. I then asked why I was billed yesterday when it hadn't been shipped. Her explanation was "Well, we were getting it ready yesterday".
Three small items that are in stock take 2 days to pack and ship. If I visited one of their stores would I have to wait 2 days while they went to get my order. I think not. Very unresponsive but typical for Canadian online purchases."
"Lee Valley tools has to be the MOST unresponsive online store ever! While the website is easy to navigate and professionally layed out and maintained; getting them to actually Ship a valid authorized order is simply another matter. It takes them DAYS to get an item that is allegedly on their shelves onto a UPS truck for delivery. I placed an order Thursday morning and they cant bring themselves to ship it! Customer Support replies quickly but wont commit to help getting my order to me. This is my last purchase from them. "
