"I originally ordered a Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED, but unfortunately they were out of stock. After reading the write up on the shop website I opted for an Nikon AF 85mm f/1.4 D IF. This was a superb lens and I was so impressed with the results that I've reordered it for use at a wedding in 2 weeks.

Lenses for Hire were as impressive as the lens. I'm lucky enough to live close by and can pick up my lenses direct from them. The communication from them was first rate and prompt. The people I spoke to or met all seemed to know what they were talking about which is a definite plus point. As mentioned above I've already booked to use them again and will continue to do so.

"I hired a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM lens for motorsports photography. This was my first experience hiring lenses and it couldn‘t have been better. Communication was great, I was kept updated as to when the lens was despatched. The lens arrived on time and in a very sturdy padlocked case. Instructions about lens hire and the lens operation were included too. The lens itself came with a UV filter attached and hood. The lens and filter were perfectly clean allowing me to attached it to my camera immediately and get testing. I’d had arranged for collection when I hired the lens, so a quick phone call to the delivery company on the Monday morning after the event and it was collected the same day.

I’d recommend this service to anyone, it’s a great way to try different lenses, gain experience and opens up photographic opportunities I wouldn’t normally have with my standard kit lens.

"I hired a Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G IF-ED VR specifically for the Farnborough Air Show 2010, and was very pleased with the service I had from LensesForHire. I collected the lenses in person on the Friday and the lovely guy gave me some tips on where to get some batteries for my Nikon D80 (I had forgotten to bring my batteries which was unforgivable!). It comes in a very good cardboard box and extremely well packed with protective foam inside. The nicest thing I noticed was that the lenses were absolutely clean and spotless (no fingerprints, scratches or the like) and that is a first class service. I like to open, mount it to my camera take snaps, without having to clean the lenses with my cleaning brushes, etc. The UV filter was fitted (same make as I use on mine!). It is a brilliant lens as I got some absolutely great pictures of airplanes at 300mm zoom! I strongly recommend anyone hiring as it's cheaper to "try it out" before considering buying it. You will NOT be disappointed."

"I hired a Canon 100-400mm lens specifically for the Farnborough Air Show, and was very pleased with the service I had from LFH. The hire period started on a Tuesday, and the lens was supposed to arrive the day before, but I got a phone call from LFH on the Monday to say that the lens had not been returned when it should have, and would I mind if it came on Tuesday instead. They offered a pre-9.30 delivery. It arrived in a very strong case, and was complete in all respects - two caps, UV filter, lens hood, and case. A great lens, and very easy to use. I think that hiring is the ideal way to try out a lens that you may be thinking of buying, and I cannot fault LFH."
