"These guys are crooks - avoid at all costs. They run a Groupon scam and it goes like this...
I found them on Groupon showing a rate of $88 R/T from SFO to Fisherman's Wharf. There is a disclaimer that airport tax of $4.65 and tip is not included. When the driver dropped us off at the hotel, I gave him $13 ($5 for tax and $8 for a tip). Never mind that the cars they use are 10years old and held together with bondo from some real low quality work. But the guy then tells me there is a mandatory fee of $20. I looked again at the Groupon terms and it only says the tax and tip is not included. Unless I am wrong a tip is a tip and on a $44 fare $8 is almost 20% and is generous??? Nonetheless I refused to pay him the additional $7.
Now on the return portion of the trip, they were late in picking us up and did not return several calls to confirm. I had the hotel contact them and then I got a call back. This time when the driver arrived, he immediately asked for the $20 upfront. I told him the Groupon terms mentioned the 4.65 airport tax and a tip - but did not specify any other fees. He called his office and told them I would not pay the $20 - they told him it was mandatory. Since I would not pay it, the driver returned us to the Hotel and we took another limo company hired by the hotel for $55 (tip included).
Bottom line is this. (1) They charge an airport tax when they pick you up and when they drop you off even though they do not pay it. The do not pick you up from the shoot at the airport where they are required to make the payment. The car is waiting outside the airport to avoid paying the tax, but still charge you for it. On the return there is NO TAX DUE, yet they charge it. (2) They do not outline in their Groupon terms that they demand a 20% tip on the overly inflated "regular price" of the trip. So they take a fare that would normally cost $50 from any reputable limo company and show a 65% discount off of a $100 fare. Then want you to pay a tip on the $100 fare.
Look at the reviews this company gets - it speaks for itself."
