"I should have paid more attention to the reviews.

I ordered a fairly expensive pair of light fixtures (roughly $350 each) two weeks ago. The LBG web site said that the fixtures would ship within 24-48 hours. After a week with no word on shipping I called them, and was told they would check on the order and get back to me. When I didn't hear back I called again the next day, and was told the same thing. Each fixture consists of three parts (rough-in kit, reflector, and surface mount). I finally received an email with tracking info for two of the three pieces.

The next day I called again to find out what was going on with the remaining fixture components, and was told they would check with the manufacturer and get back to me. I received an email the following day saying that those components weren't in their "bulk shipment" and that they were awaiting word as to their status.

After another two days I with no further word from LBG I called them again, and was told that they would check with the manufacturer and get back to me. Again, no word from them, so I called again the next day, and was told that they "just emailed the manufacturer" and would let me know the status as soon as they know.

So now I've got two-thirds of the components for the fixtures, and no idea when or if the remaining third will arrive.

AVOID these people. Their web site looks decent and prices okay, but after you place the order it seems like there's a pretty good chance you will REGRET it.

I place my order on August 22nd and the night after (the 23rd) I decided I didn't want it. So I send an email to their non-existent customer service informing them I didn't want the order.

On August 24th I get a reply indicating the order cannot be cancel because it has already shipped from their vendor. On August 25th Lighting by Gregory sends me another email with the tracking number which clearly indicates the order was ship that same day not the day before as they claim.

NOTE that Lighting by Gregory policies clearly stated that the manufacturer of the items I ordered will take from 8-to-9-days minimum to ship. On their reply for cancellation I was told that some items in my order will ship on September 21st. 2008 which is more than enough time to cancel.

This business has no ethics or customer service skills., their employees are lowlifes with no integrity when it come to gain money. Before placing this order I double check any negative reviews online and their abysmal policies which clearly states ANY order can be cancel within 72-hours after it was place since most items ship after 7-days of placing the order.

If you want low prices with NO customer service and an arrogant service, then Lighting by Gregory is the right place for you. Take note, they will NOT honor their cancellation policy and they will not be held responsable if the manufacturer ships something to you that is not what you order (read their policies) and will force YOU to pay the return shipping to have the mistake corrected.

Which makes me wonder, what kind of authorized dealer is Lighting by Gregory that does not stock ANY of their products and let the manufacturers do all the work??? a Lazy inresponsable liying dealer that's who.

Buying from Lighting by Gregory might save you some money, but when shipping mistakes happen and cancellations are not honored you are SOL. Buy from a reputable lighting fan showroom that has everything you need in stock."
