Full story:
I ordered the product on 3/1/11, received order confirmation on same day. Got shipping confirmation on 3/2/11 with tracking number, when I track it FedEx says the shipping info was transmitted and waiting for pickup and estimated delivery is 3/7/11. 3/6/11 I go on FedEx to track my package thinking it will be delivered next day, what I saw was same comment as 3/2/11 info "shipment info transmitted to FedEx" so I know the shipment was never picked up. I contacted Lighting Supply Company to see what's up and they lied to my face saying FedEx lost the package plus they do not have stock to ship I have to wait 1~2 weeks! How can FedEx lose a package when it was never picked up! Further proof is my product shipped 3/7/11 (day after I talked to customer service) meaning it was sitting in their warehouse all this time.
Customer service also promised me that as soon as they have stock they will send it 2nd day air, but guess which tracking number is working now? That's right the original tracking number showing they are shipping ground! They are not even fulfilling their promise to ship 2nd day air so I have to wait another week!!!!
I would have been fine if they admit their mistake and apologized, they put the blame on someone else and did not apologize for this until I called them on their lies.
Funny the company sent me this review request email even after what I have been through, I have yet to receive the product so I am only reviewing how the customer service is with this company.
Edit for update:
I just received the package, it had the original 3/1/11 shipping label with 3/1/11 date on shipping label. Further proof that they had it in warehouse and did not ship it. Sure is quick with the lies about Federal Express Ground losing their package, and slow on apologies when proven they were lying. Customer service department need to be improved, tell the truth and maybe lose 1 sale at least you have your integrity.

#1. If it was FedEx that lost the box, your customer service would have to put me on hold and call FedEx to inquire about location of the package and FedEx would have to search and answer with they lost it. Your Customer Service never put me on hold to make that call, and the packaged answer was given to me right away.
#2 When FedEx pick up the product they scans the package in on the spot, it would say they have the product but stuck some where. Our company work with FedEx for well over 20 years shipping out hundreds of packages a day, never in all the years that FedEx fail to scan something in they picked up even when the scan is done at their terminal. So did FedEx lose the package and miraculously found it at their terminal when the customer called about it or Lighting Supply Company never shipped the product and put the blame on FedEx so they do not look bad.
#3 Your customer service said you do not have the bulbs in stock, I have to wait 2 weeks for you guys to get the bulbs back in after he explaind FedEx lost package. Once you get the shipment in you would send it out 2nd day air. So how would you be able to setup second order to ship out 2nd day air when you do not have any product? Or did the customer service lied about not having the product and was playing the stall game with that answer?
A professional company would gather all info, find the package and then call customer back admit fault and offer to ship product out 2nd day air if they still want the order. But that did not happen and you guys play the blame game.
Guess what you look very unprofessional and not a company we want to do business with ever again. Just so you know this small couple hundred dollars order was just a test order, it is to replace bulbs in 1 of our bathroom. I was looking to replace all bulbs in the company with energy efficient bulbs which would equal to fairly large sale for you guys, that sale is now going to another company."
