"I REEEAALLLLYYYY wish I had read reviews before I placed an order with this company. NEVER AGAIN. I ordered a Bed-in-a-bag FIFTEEN days ago and have still not received it. After several calls to customer service and at least 5 emails, it finally appears to be in transit according to fedex (shipped yesterday... 2 weeks later). Throughout this process, LNT customer service has ignored me, lied to me, and tried to blame me and fedex for their errors. And just to be clear... never at any time was this item backordered, out of stock, etc. It was just NEVER shipped to me. They first tried to tell me my initial order had been shipped but was lost in transit. But a quick call to fedex and I find out that no such order ever existed and they were still waiting for LNT to submit to them the item. The other two times, they just straight up admitted they never reshipped my order as promised but just never knew nor cared why.

To give just the tiniest sample of the BS - in my most recent email I said according to the tracking number u provided xxx, this order has STILL not shipped, please ensure this ships immediately as promised. What did I get in response? "Sorry you are having trouble. Kindly try tracking it again and you will see it did ship as we mentioned. Tracking number yyy. Let me know if you are still having issues." So "MY issue" apparently, is that THE TRACKING NUMBER THEY GAVE ME WAS WRONG!!! BUT rather than acknowledging they had given me an incorrect tracking number - which they can clearly see in the previous correspondence I attached in the email - they patronizingly blame ME and just include the correct number mid-patronizing-sentence. Its ASTOUNDING!

Oh, and they did tell me that their customers matter so much to them that they issued me a 5% refund as an apology. Thats about $6. Thanks for the crumbs LNT but all I really want is THE BEDDING I PAID FOR.

Seriously... run.

"The curtains they sent me were a completely different shade than what was advertized on their website: one pair was almost two shades darker, and another was advertized as gold, and the actual item was dark brown color.

Now to send them back I have to pay shipping. Their customer service is very rude. It was their mistake, yet it's costing me to ship the order back. Beware. I suggest you shop with many of their competitors who cover ship-back charges if they make a mistake.

"I purchased a Shower curtain from them that was supposed to be (8 guage) heavy weight and when it arrived it was already opened previously and at the top of the package where it was opened it was torn also. They expected me to pay the return shipping to return this defective item. It was hardly what I would have called heavy weight either. This was complete junk, Customer service stinks, and their return policy is a rip off. I don't recommend shopping here. I was also unhappy that it would cost me as much as my original purchase to send it back making it very non-cost effective to send back. They seem to make their money ripping people off."

"What a nightmare this company is! I purchased kitchen curtains from them and they took almost two weeks to arrive. Then, they sent me two extra packages of tiers instead of two packages of valances. Okay, that can happen, but just try to call them! When you do find the phone # on the site (it's buried) you'll get a ridiculously long message, then told that all their operators are helping someone, so leave a message with your phone #. I did that three different days, and no one ever called me back. So then I tried their live chat. Huh. The person took about five minutes to reply to each of my responses. Then she basically just said she'd forward my complaint to the "seller." Who? Aren't they the seller? I had no faith in her, so I tried their email. I was sent a UPS sticker to send back the incorrect items. I intend to do that, but they still have not shipped my valances. When I sent another email, I was informed that they will send my valances AFTER they receive the tiers. WHAT!? So I need to wait and wait for their mistake to be corrected. My advice: do NOT do business with these clowns. Very very poor customer service.
Follow up: July 19th: Problem is still not rectified. I have gotten one phone call from "Toni" who promised to look into it and call me back. She did not call me back for two weeks. Then, when she did, she bypassed talking to me and just left a message saying that she couldn't get the warehouse to answer her calls or emails. My total order was $80 and I can't use the curtains without the valances. I am thinking I'll have to just forget the whole thing and buy curtains elsewhere and just be out the $80. Thanks for nothing, Linens and Things.

"What happened to this company? It used to be reputable. Now, it seems like they operate out of a garage. I wish I had checked their ratings prior to my purchase.

I purchased a Hose Reel Cart on 4/26 and received a confirmation soon after. After that, it was like my order fell into the abyss. By 5/1 I had not heard anything about my order, so I called. I was not able to get a person on the phone, so I used their online forms to contact them. I heard back from them about 30 hours later in a short reply stating that the item won't ship until 5/11! Finally, on 5/10, I received an email stating that it had shipped and I had it at my door on 5/13 -- 17 days after my purchase.

When I opened it, I quickly noticed that it was badly scratched and contacted them about a return. I called and was able to get someone on the phone after 3 attempts, but I believe she was working out of her house. A doorbell rang and a dog was barking in the background! She said that she could not help me with the return! I will have to wait for an email within 24 hours from the shipping department. Shipping department???? When I didn't hear from the shipping department, I used their online form to contact customer service again - I had no number for the "Shipping Department". I receive an email 24 hours later asking if the box was damaged. My response... "no". Then another 24 hours until I heard back form them again. Today (5/17) I received the following email...

"Good morning,

This RMA# authorizes the return of the following items:
880-2 - Qty Returning: 1

We will arrange to have your product picked up from the original
address the product was shipped to. Please carefully repack your
packages and have them available for pickup. We will notify you in 5-7
Business Days with further pickup instructions including a tracking
number for the return package.

Please note that you will not receive credit for the merchandise until
it has been received and inspected at the return destination.

Thank you."

RMA??? What RMA? There is no number!! Do I pack up the box and leave on my porch? Where is my return shipping label? Do I really have to wait 5 to 7 days for further instructions??

I still don't know if/when I will be able to return my damaged purchase!!!

This has been a horrible experience from the minute I pressed the purchase confirmation button. I highly recommend that you DO NOT PURCHASE from LNT!!

Oh... I ordered a different hose reel cart from Amazon 3 days ago. I already received and installed it!

"I placed an order weeks ago and still not update on when it will ship. It was for swimming pool related items in which I would like to receive before a big cookout we have planned this weekend. I ordered several items from Amazon.com and Walmart.com, the same day my Linens N Things order was placed. All items from those orders have not only shipped but are already here.

I tried calling Linens 'n Things customer service last night and was hung up on when I asked the rep when I should expect to receive my order. I have tried calling all day today and keep getting a message "791 all Circuits are busy please try your call again later" before it even rings. I have $200 tied up in the order otherwise I would place it elsewhere at this point.

Further, after a Goggle search, I have realized that Sears carries the same items. I am giving them until the end of the week (4 more days) and if I have not atleast received a shipping confirmation, I will be contacting my bank to hopefully cancel payment. I honestly wish I had never ordered ffrom them but live and learn I suppose. I wanted to let everyone else know my experience in hope no one else would make the same mistake.

"I just received my sets of towels from Linens'n Things in the mail and I am very disappointed. The quality is VERY poor, the texture of the product doesn't look like what is shown in the website, not to mention that it took them over two weeks to ship the order. I e-mailed several times and got no response, and when I called the customer service was terrible! I will never buy from Linens'n Things again, and I do NOT recommend it!"

"Ordered a comforter set and body pillow cover the same day and time. Recieved the comforter (horrible quality) on time but STILL haven't recieved the body pillow cover a MONTH or more later!! I got a reply back from an email once saying it would be any day now and I have emailed again multiple times and NO RESPONSE. DO NOT BUY FROM LNT.COM!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars!!!"

"LNT is Overpriced! I ordered new bathroom decor and they used Anna's Linens to ship the items. When I opened the package, every item had a black sticker over the price. I removed it to discover the retail price at Anna's Linens for the exact same item was significantly less than LNT supposed sale price. Example: shower curtain reg price at LNT $36.28 -> LNT sale price -> 29.02 Anna's Retail price -> $19.99. I went to Anna's Linens to confirm retail prices in the store and the regular price of that shower curtain was $21.99; still less than LNT "sale" price. I will never order from LNT online again!"

"Linens 'n Things does not have any customer service. They shipped me the wrong item and I've asked them to cancel my order or ship me the correct item immediately. The only response I got is a RMA, which neither tells me if the order is going to be canceled or if they have shipped me the correct item. If you try to call the, you will NEVER reach a person, just an answering machine."
