"I have used Linksys Routers(now Belkin) for 20+ years. They really perform well UNTIL you have a problem! Then a shot in the head would put you out of the misery of dealing with a bunch of incompetent, inept, bungling and just plain ignorant Tech Support people. Had a very minor problem with a great Dual Band Router(EA2400). WiFi range was "the best" But in setting up the router somehow a user with an unsecure wifi link was inputted. Probably was me but my fatal flaw was to call LinkSys Tech Support! ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS DELETE THE UNSECURE USER!. It worked perfect otherwise. WiFi range was outstanding. Tech took 2 hours just to figure out how to access the software in the router. Then the IP address didnot correspond to what LinkSys said it should be. He had no idea how to fix. I said well let it go....NO NO, and this is partially my fault, buy the latest and greatest WiFI Dual Band Router with LinkSys Smart software so you can program it in 5 minutes. PLUS "Have I got a deal for you"! Turns out his deal was still $20 more than ANY online store. 90 days free warranty tech support AND 90 days "No Hassle" free return if not satisfied!!"
Router came...took Tech 2.5 hours to set up!!!!!! It was supposed to be plug-n-play!! Not even a set up CD with it! Seemed to work great! Checked WiFi from where my wife's computer stays. Worked fine! Took it about 100 ft away and no WiFi! Tech said just try it for a week or so, you have a 90 day free return.
After 1 week started experiencing constant loss of internet connection..all day everyday! WiFi still would not work where the old EA2400 worked flawlessly.
Started calling Tech Support both on "LIve Chat" and land line.
I have NEVER worked with such doo -doos in my life. When they could not understand the problem, now remember UNDERSTAND, the problem, they would hang up or "End the Chat" Of course when you called back in or did another "live chat" the 1st question was "What is your Case Number?" Well gee what case number?..I was never given one!!! Well back to square 1..this went on for 3 weeks. minimum of 3 hours each call, not one EVER addressing the real problem..loss of interconnect connection. They were fixated on the annoying WiFi problem. Had me access Smart WiFi software..AOK there...Get this even asked me if it was plugged into an ac outlet..oh that is the cause!!!! Your problem...How the hell does the router work if it is not plugged in idiot????? Hung up....Now remember I still have 30 days left on "no risk" free return.
They never address it..have to prove to engineers that it is the routers problem first.
So I spend $120 bucks for Verizon to analyze the DSL line AOK..I run the 3 computers that are directly plugged in to the router alone with just the DSL modem 4 days of not 1 interruption!!!!
So today, 8/4, I recall Tech Support..4.5 hours on the phone..all 5 times hung up on. Asked for a Stupidvisor.."Not one on the floor".
So I called my credit card company and "disputed" the transaction with screenshots of who and what the flow of troubleshooting was.
I will NEVER buy a piece of crap LinkSys eqpt again JUST because their Tech Support is "stuck on stupid".
If you buy and yours works fine good for you but lo and behold if you need help. Tried to get my money back, they hung up on me. Even asked for a credit and upgrade to the new version of the old one they told me was defective! Wouldn't do it.
So we will see what "dispute" finds! They want their router Come and get it idiots!!"
"I purchased an expensive router from this store. the package I bought included free 2-day shipping. I needed the router in a hurry. I ordered on a Friday. Long story short, the router will not arrive for at least a week. After being passed through numerous phone trees and departments, I was told they ship UPS ground. But, you sold me free 2-day shipping! They apologized but said there was nothing they could do. Dont buy from them!"
"This store is awful. Ordered a refurbished router, then found it on Amazon for less about 30 minutes later. I cancelled the order online, and got some weird status message saying it was in the process of being canceled. 24 hours later I got an email saying it had been shipped. Talked to their customer service, who actually said their website cancellation does not work well and that I should have called. No refund of shipping cost.
Just don't bother with this place. Use Amazon - among other things, they have a website that works..."
"Years ago I bought a BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router it worked through 98, 2000, XP, Vista win7. I saw one on sale at wal-mart. Mind you this new Router is the same exact one. My 1st mistake was to call & ask if I could just hook it up & go. To make the story short they duped me into buying a new router you know the pitch out of date won't work if you hook it up. The stupid part was not checking them out on RR. I had the old router so long I walked in the door with blind trust. I called back to tell them I did not want WiFi. The 2nd shift had come on & I spoke with 1 of their few honest people she took the numbers & said no prolem the new router will work juat as well as the one I had all those years. She told me I should call this # & tell them to cancel the router I ordered. I called they said wait until
the tracking # from UPS is sent & me call UPS tell them I will not accept the PKG. When it gets back 12 days or more they will return my money. I'm screwed my advice is do not buy LINKSYS CISCO. They have turned bad & you will be lied too & have your money taken. Companies who do not work it out in public on RR can not be trusted end of story. Once on Apr 11 then today I was told that I must wait untill UPS delivers & refuse the router also 2 other employs told me I will get a letter saying the order was cancled no letter. At 8pm EST I got
a phone call & was told I will get no letter I must wait for UPS to deliever & turn it down. We all know what the game is here they have the paperwork that shows I bought it. So for them they get to rob me & get the router back. If they give me my money back I will edit this post after all not everyone is a crook. Let you know what happens.

with No problem we will give you your money back to you have 7 days. It came today. You know it with no way of proving they said sure we will happily give you your Money back I kept it now
that I have the router I will register it & then have proof that they sold me a brand new Router.
My advice is Linksys is not who they once were don't trust them tell your frinds the most important thing of all. Never buy anything without checking RR you can start a store review about any store then e-mail the store & advise them to join. If they won't then it hurts them more then it hurts us. Because so many stors are selling to scumbags don't be fooled
look that store up it's your hard earned money.

"very bad shopping experience. 1st of all, slow shipping. then I found the router that I received was defective. Sent it back and followed the RMA instruction step by step. 1 month later, called them to see where my refund was. They told me they did not get the returned package. Their online RMA system is a joke.
Tired of fighting with them and filed a charge back with Paypal. Will never shop with them again."

I liked the modem but the rebate is a joke !!! I purchased the modem between the dates indicated on the rebate form and send in the rebates, but after two to three month of wait... All I have got is a letter from linksys saying that the purchase date is invalid for rebate... which is a very lame excuse! I guess this is whats called "Rebate SCAM"
