"On Monday, I placed an on-line order for some train track. The next day, on Tuesday, I received an e-mail indicating the order was fulfilled. Nice! Unfortunately, 5 minutes later another e-mail came thru saying my card had been declined. The short version of this story is that my card was not declined, and in fact they never even ran the transaction thru.
I called customer service immediately and after a somewhat lengthy call (placed on hold multiple times) the rep assured me the order would be completed later that day. She had no explanation for what caused the problem; only assurances that she had "cleaned up the order", whatever that means.
Another day goes by and nothing happens, so on the following day (Wednesday) I called customer service again. This time they allegedly contacted the warehouse manager and assured me (again) that the order would be completed later that day. Needless to say, once again they failed to fulfill the order. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!
The customer service rep did say that she had no way to manually process on order. Seriously? In this day and age?
Also, be aware that calls to customer service result in being placed on hold for 30+ minutes before someone gets on the line."
