"I ordered a set of Grado SR80's from Bill. The website was a breeze and ordering took literally 2 minutes. I checked to make sure all essential pages were "secured", all were.
I sent off what I thought was the correct information, and awaited a response from Bill.
Later that day he sent me an email back telling me that the billing address did not match the shipping address (I had just moved). I sent back the correct information at 2 AM on the 1st.
Get this:
I live in Cincinnati Ohio, his store is in Idaho. I sent the correct information on the 1st... they were sitting on my doorstep 15 hours later.

"Headphones are hard to buy over the Internet, if you haven't already tried them out. Different headphones sound better and are more comfortable to different people. But it's getting hard to find good headphones in stores where you can try them out before buying. Electronics stores just want to sell cheaper, mass-produced disposable headphones that sound okay but far from great. So the wider product selection and product advice that the Internet can offer is helpful. The best part about Listening Station's website is that they're not *just selling* headphones, but advising customers in product reviews on which headphones offer the best sound for the price, and that's very helpful, *if* the reviews are trustworthy. Having auditioned some of the headphones they sell, I can tell you that their reviews are fair and reliable and you can trust their advice.
You can get very good headphones from Listening Station in the $50-$100 range. To get *really good* headphones, you have to go higher, but the bang for the buck in improved fidelity tails off sharply as you go up in price (their most expensive headphones cost over $500). Listening Station keeps things in perspective and doesn't go all audiophile-nutso on customers; they don't tout benefits nobody can hear or push people into high-end stuff based on snob appeal. They talk about subtle improvements in sound and say flat out that many people are happy with the middle range stuff they sell most often, and they're right. You don't want to pay hundreds for benefits you can't appreciate.
One important caveat: Listening Station currently charges an 8% restocking fee. It's buried in fine print on the website, but you might not see it until you get the confirmation email.
Communication from them after the order was excellent, and the two pairs of headphones I ordered arrived quickly having been pre-tested, which I appreciated. The headphones worked great and lived up to their billing. I was very satisfied with Listening Station and would use them again. "
