"We had an Edgestar Wine Cooler for about 11 years with no issues. Last month it stopped cooling. I went on the internet and found an Edgestar tech video describing my problem. I found a bad relay in the unit and ordered one from the factory. I called and the customer service rep who could not find my email but she went ahead and sent out the relay the same day at no cost. It took 5 minutes to install it and it is now working fine. These guys went way beyond the norm to get me a part for FREE on an 11 year old device that had a one year warranty. HOORAY TO EDGESTAR/LIVING DIRECT!"
"We purchased an EdgeStar Ice maker and started having issues with it that started during the pandemic. We contacted Living Direct and based on the issues, they knew what was wrong and would send the replacement part. Unfortunately, we’ve received 3 parts thus far and none have worked…the last part sent did not even fit our machine. When we reached out to them, they said they would send a fourth part…we have been waiting for quite some time…no part has been received and we have not heard a word from Living Direct. We are so disappointed with EdgeStar and the customer service received from Living Direct. We have been dealing with this for over 4 years. I would steer clear of both companies!!!"
"Living Direct is an awful company to do business with. I purchased and Ice Maker (EcoStar brand) in December 2016. When it arrived I hooked it up and it did not make ice. The compressor was clearly bad. Because there was a company merger/take-over last spring/summer it was finally August 2017 before it was returned to be repaired under warranty. The time in phone calls and emails that were not returned is staggering.
Once it was returned to me in October, upon opening the box it appeared it had never been serviced. (I had placed permanent pen markings on the compressor that were still there when it was returned.
They were notified when I hooked it up that it didn't work, with again no response. This went on until continuously until 3/15/18, over a year. I was informed it was out of warranty and I would have too pay to have it fixed.
These people are terrible don't do business with anyone associated with any of these companies."
"I Recently bought an Ac that was lost during shipment due to an error of commission, The issue was how I was handled by the customer reps including the supervisor. I feel these younger guys have serious communication problems due to forever staring at their gadgets and there is an urgent need to attend basic people skills courses. it is not enough to be an expert web-builder and have zero customer care skills...I just lost a 350usd equipment and the rudely told me to deal with.............I am filing my case at the court of public opinion and I intend to prosecute the case in major papers and customer review articles..

"About 2 years ago I purchased an item and was very pleased with the transaction. Now, I ended up purchasing another wine fridge, but upon opening up, there is a little difference in the item.....there is no Celsius / farenheit switch as pictured on the item on the Winecoolerdirect.com website. I called, and has been the case with them for some delivery issues, after long holds I get disconnected. I called the sales line instead but had the displeasure of getting James (like several others who posted here). He could not care less about the problem and said "why are you calling me, you should call the manufacturer, they can fix over the phone". Really? Long, rubber arms to stretch across the continent and install a missing button? He then said, "what's the problem, you can't figure out Celsius?". I told him I didn't want to. Finally, because his attitude and tone of voice were so ridiculous, I called him on it and said that I found his apathy to be alarming and he said "well, I don't see what the problem is, so yeah". NICE. What an arse. "
"A combination washer dryer was delivered on May 5, 2015 as part of an ongoing renovation project. There was no physical damaged seen upon inspection at delivery. When my contractor went to install it he noticed internal damage to the unit that makes it un-useable. I contacted Living Direct several times and they refused to honor their 60 day 100% satisfaction return policy. See below:

All we ask is that the order be returned to us in its original packaging and condition with all included accessories and materials. Items shipped out via freight line carrier must be returned in the same manner. To obtain a return merchandise authorization number (RMA), please contact one of our customer service experts Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST at 1-***-***-****.
They said because it was damaged it was not covered by the 60 day return policy. Doesn't seem like the 100% satisfaction guarantee and return policy stated right on their site. I have registered a complaint with the BBB and have contacted my attorneys to start litigation against this firm. Too many people will not hold dishonest people like Living Direct Accountable. That is why they continue to do it. Not this time...

"DISHONEST! I ordered an item Dec 2014 that was listed on their website for one price and was charged $75.39 MORE than the price. It was only a $100 item to begin with so this is almost double the cost. I contacted the company (James Reilly) to let them know of this discrepancy and was basically told that I am lying even though I have a PO from the company with that price. Don't buy from them. EVER!"
"Ordered wine cooler for a kitchen re-model. No where did it say it was freestanding. Installed undermount and unit failed. Called customer service (James) and was told it was my problem, I didn't do my research. I asked to speak to his boss (Brian Ford) who i was told, "Doesnt talk to customers". Avoid this company at all costs. After sales support is non existant and customer service is a joke."
"Ordered a Summit Wine Cooler from this company. They chose Averitt Express as their shipper. Either the cooler was shipped out damaged or the shipper damaged the item in delivery. The damage is partly on the front of the cooler where it can be seen. The cooler apparently works, just banged up in the front. The company was contacted when the item was opened about the damage. This did not occur during the first 2 days since it was being used on a remodeling project and the space was not ready, so they will do nothing. I learned my lesson with this company. They will not assist in getting the item replaced or fixed. Will never order from them again. I will never use Averitt Express for shipping. They refused to deliver my cooler to my home and I had to go pick it up at their depot."
"I ordered an AP14001HS - (1) EdgeStar Extreme Cool 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner & Heater from Living Direct. When it arrived it was clear that the box had been opened and repackaged. The back panel had been removed and improperly reinstalled which bent the front panel on one side and breaking the back panel on the other. They agreed to take it back, but that meant that I had to re-pack it, take it to FedEx, and send it at my own expense. The other option they offered was a $50 discount which wasn't such a great deal when you consider that they sell "scratch and dent' units at a $140 discount. I ended up keeping it with a $75 discount and then they acted like they were doing me a favor. All I can say is if you buy from them, keep in mind that it's at your own risk."

After confirming on BBB.org that the company had an A+ rating, I called to order an outdoor furniture set. Sales rep was very friendly and reassuring and guaranteed that the item was in stock and was going to get to me very quickly. As I found out later, my credit card was charged the same day, but 3 days later, when trying to check my order status, it showed that the set was still in their warehouse. This is not legal to charge the credit card before shipping the order! Another day later I tried calling them on several numbers and after spending about 2 hours listening to a music on hold and not being able to get to an actual person I gave up. Another day later (today) I am trying to log in and the website no longer recognizes my email, stating that no account exists! I do not understand how a company that acts this unethical and illegal and has a non-existing customer service can have such a high rating on BBB! My next review is going there. I would not buy from this company! There is plenty of better operating competition out there!"
