"quite simply: They use a delivery service that is so lame that no words can describe it. You will have a fine experience right until your delivery day. Then you won't get your furniture. Then you will try to find out what happened (which will take forever because you can't reach the store directly, only the call center) and they will apologize, and give you excuses, and schedule it for the next available date (which will be 2-3 days after)... and then you won't get it again. And so on. You are lucky if you will get your stuff a week after the first delivery. Outrageous. Don't say I didn't warn you."

"Placed an order totalling almost $300 on June 2, 2009. Did not receive an email confirmation, which I found strange but let it go. After three weeks and no merchandise, I began trying to contact the company, to no avail. Voicemail was full, so could not leave a message. No response to faxes or emails. The fourth week, it appears that the phone number has been disconnected. Had to file a dispute with my bank to try to recoup my loss. Scarey thing is... this company is STILL taking orders on their website. BEWARE! :(

"I placed an order with this company and when I submitted my credit info a screen popped up saying the bank declined my card. I thought I must have mistyped the number so I redid the order. When I looked at my bank statement I saw there was two consecutive charges. I have e-mailed and called the company trying to get this straightened out and don't get any response. As of today I haven't received my order. I also checked with the BBB and there are several complaints against this company.
Update 6/18. Since I was in the Phoenix area and Open Chute's business location is in the Phoenix metro area, I got in touch with a Phoenix television station and they contacted Open Chute for me and got me a refund. Open Chute told them that they are in the process of declaring bankruptcy. "

"I ordered a juicer from this retailer on 05/10. They charged my account on 05/11. It is now 05/20 and I have no juicer, no communications from the company to tell me if/when my product will ship. When I call, I get the recording. Have left four message over the past week with no response. Have emailed and received no response. My bank won't dispute charges for another 8 days. I am livid. I want to cancel my order, but can't do so because they won't respond to my communications. DO NOT order from this company. I plan to dispute the charge in 8 days and will refuse shipment of the product when it arrives. Forget them.
Update: When I emailed and left a voice mail indicating I was issuing a dispute for the charge with my bank, THEN they emailed back saying it had shipped "just today" and that I would get an email with the UPS info. No email. When I responded back I wanted to cancel the order...no response. They are so frustrating and lack professionalism. Don't buy with them!"

I just wanted to know why i have not recieved any info on my order in almost a week. I wish I had checked the reviews before i ordered (I usually do) but their site was very informative and i was fooled. I am left in the dark like many others and my card is already charged.

"placed order for simple kitchen appliance on 3rd of month.
store charged my bank on the 7th, yet sent no information regarding shipment/tracking.
had not heard from the store for 11 days after placing my order, so i emailed them.
a few days later, the "person in charge of orders" emailed back, saying they'd look into it and get back to me.
over a week went by, without any word whatsoever.
on the 27th, i emailed again, this time demanding a cancellation and my money back.
several hours later, i miraculously received an email saying that, not only had my order not been cancelled as requested, but that my order had shipped (subsequent to my cancellation request)!
why so many emails? because every time i called--yes, during normal business hours--a computerized voice explained they were "answering phone calls and were too busy, could i leave a message?"
i would call this bad business but, for a while, i actually wondered whether i was dealing with a business at all. i almost called the feds to investigate fraud.
i am not surprised to find others here with almost identical experiences. obviously something is going very, very wrong with this so-called dealer.

This was my first order. It took two weeks of calling them to return my call for an order. I bought a GreenStar Juicer and a WaterWise Distiller and both products arrived dirty. The juicer had dirt, dust, and cobwebs caked up in the parts. YUCK!!! The distiller was in better shape than the juicer, but I found dirt caked in it as well. They didn't even try to clean the products before sending them to me, and I spent over $800.00 with them. You would think that would have been incentive enough to try satisfy a customer and at least clean the product before sending it out. Keep a happy customer returning to the site for more orders. But they didn't even try.
I was so disappointed. And now that I want to return the products, they are not returning my calls.
I can't believe this. I shop online all the time and I have never had an experience like this one.

"I purchased a Breville 800ESXL espresso machine after much deliberating. I hunted for the best price and found it at LivingRight. Not only was it the lowest price, but there were no hidden charges... no shipping and no tax. I placed the order on late Monday, November 20th and it arrived at my door at 9AM Tuesday, November 28... pretty good huh, but when you take into consideration Thanksgiving weekend started on the 23rd, I was totally amazed. I received an email confirmation on the 21st indicating my purchase, but no shipping date. I decided to call LivingRight/ Open Chute to inquire and the MOST PLEASANT individual informed me that the product is shipped from the factory and I should be getting a shipping confirmation in my email that night and there it was. I was able to track the shipment until it arrived. I got here without incident and in perfect condition. The top of the box that the juicer shipped in was open when it arrived, so they probably should have taped it better. I was nervous about ordering from LivingRight.com because it is one of many almost identical sites owned and operated by the same people that sell the same products. They are one company with many online storefronts. To me, this is a shady practice. People will "shop around" but only be going to a bunch of stores owned by the same people. But they had the best price so I ordered anyways."
