"Needed an apparently discontinued toilet seat (style/color). After a bit of online searching, I found Locke Plumbing, and they had it. Ordered the items and Bam!, they were in my hands in no time. Great product & great service. Thanks. "
"I needed to replace the Flush Valve on a St. Thomas Creation toilet and decided to replace all the parts at the same time. I purchased a Universal Complete Kit at Home Depot but before I opened the kit, I found that Locke Plumbing offered a specific overhaul kit for St. Thomas Creation toilet. I returned the Home Depot kit and ordered the specific kit from Locke. When the kit arrived from Locke, it was nothing but a bunch of different brands of Universal parts thrown into a box. It was not a specific Kit and it was not even a kit. It was a waste of time and money as the box of parts was much more than the packaged kit from Home Depot. When I called Locke to complain, they slammed the phone down and would not talk to me. I called back but they would not answer. Their policy is to charge 15% for returned parts and I pay all shipping cost. I decided to attempt and make the parts work only to find that there was not a set of instructions for all the different parts in the box and the tank seal was not the right size. The Flush Valve was a 2 inch and they sent a 3 inch seal as part of the "kit". Locke invoice states that I purchased a St. Thomas Creation Overhaul Kit. I was misled by Locke false advertising and false description of what my invoice states. The complete Universal Kit at Home Depot was a much better product as all parts were matched with proper instructions included.
I recommend using Lowes or Home Depot so you will know what you are paying for and not use Locke Plumbing to sell you something different than you paid for. I wish I could attach photos of the Home Depot Complete Universal Kit and the bunch of different pieces and parts thrown into the box from Locke Plumbing with parts that don't fit and missing instructions."
"They deserve a rating beyond the 5 stars. I had some old valves which I believed to be Briggs the local shops and even Briggs couldn't verify for me I found them while searching for specs and it's the best plumbing support I have ever received I send pictures with measurements of what I had they were prompt and verified my parts. I placed the order and it shipped the same day. Highly recommend this company they are true professional."
"Recently the 2 way diverter valve on my bathtub quit working. I took it to JOSCO (our local plumbing supply house in Austin) -- they said the cartridge is permanently sealed in the housing so there is no way to extract it from the housing (or they were unwilling/unable to do it). Either way, they said they could not help me, and I should buy a COMPLETE new Roman tub set! I was unsatisfied with this answer, so I looked for a similar diverter valve online. That is how I found Locke Plumbing.
I found a similar looking valve online (SYM-4-458) and emailed Locke Plumbing to ask if it would replace mine (I sent a photo of mine along with the request). I received an immediate response asking why I didn't just replace the cartridge. I related the info I was given by the folks at JOSCO and was told that in 40 years in the plumbing supply business they had never seen a diverter valve that DIDN'T have a replaceable cartridge. They offered to look at it for me, so I sent it to them by mail. After receiving it they promptly disassembled the valve into its components and told me that although they did not stock the cartridge it was available online. They returned the valve to me with a print out showing where I could order the cartridge. I ordered the cartridge from that vendor and when the part arrived I had no trouble installing it and re-installing the repaired diverter valve back into the tub deck.
Locke Plumbing went above and beyond what I expected. They took the time to help me with competent advice and, even though they did not have the part needed to make the repair, they showed me how I could obtain it. I wish I had a local plumbing supply house as helpful and competent here in Austin. I could not recommend Locke Plumbing more highly."
"Found site online. I needed a discontinued hot water heater element. I provided the info and they did the research. Found the part, sent me all the info and gave me the opportunity to order through them or find the part locally. I ordered it from them and then provided order number to whomever was doing the research for me so they could track the order. I have nothing but high praise for how easily they were to work with and the timely manner they provided all information. I do not post top mark recommendations often, but Locke Plumbing deserves this. "
"Do not use Locke Plumbing!
I ordered a sink shut off valves for my faucet. They listed them on the website and had both very easy to purchase. They were higher price than other places but I went ahead with the order. Once the parts arrived they had other covers on them that would not allow them to fit in the valve seats.
I tried to call them to talk to them and see if maybe I was doing something wrong. The phone line goes directly to an answering machine with no possibility of talking to anyone. So I returned the products for a refund. To my surprise out of a $18 order $8 was returned due to a restocking fee. I will never order from them again. Very poor online retailer for customer service."
"Poor Experience, ordered sink faucet cartridge over the weekend, but needed the part urgently. After order found cartridge locally. Then I sent an email to cancel the order, the following week I received call from sales rep stating that the part was out of stock with three week back-order, I agreed to call him if I needed the part again and thought my order was cancelled. 2 weeks later they suddendly shipped the part, without checking with me again. Returned unopened package to sender and they gave only refund for half of the cost I had, pointing towards a return, restocking policy. I asked them for a full refund since i had cancelled my order right away, before anything was shipped, but they ignored me, although i have email proof. Unprofessional internet seller. Would stay away."
"I purchased a Strom faucet for a claw foot tub P0402C. I'm very pleased with the faucet, high quality brass construction, beautifully finished (packaged like jewelry), quarter turn cartridge valves.
I liked dealing with a "bricks and mortar" business. I called Customer Service to pin down which cartridges to order as spares and the person I spoke to was very helpful."
"Excellent catalog of plumbing supplies. Very easy to use site. Great pictures of every part. I found the brass replacements for two 300 toilets in stock and could confirm the pictures.
Talking to customer service was very nice. They new the products well. A return was by the book."
