Under-impressed!

"This was my first attempt at doing business with this company. Apparently I purchased an item that was out of stock (why was it on the website for sale, why not offer a substitute)? They have no problem zapping the money out of your checking account but putting it back in is a different beast. "

"This review is for the website, Loehmanns.com. I have never encountered more incompetent and unhelpful customer service. They shipped me a damaged coat so I called and spoke to a rep named Alicea who said she would email me a prepaid return shipping label so that I could return it. I received an email that only attached a return invoice, although the text indicated a prepaid label was attached. I called back and the same rep answered. I explained the email did not attach a prepaid shipping label. She put me on hold and allegedly spoke to her supervisor and returned to tell me that I must be outside of the return shipping period (when I told her several times it was ordered and received last week. besides the fact that it is the holidays and at the very least she should be well versed in the company holiday return policy which extends well into January) and that in the alternative all they could do on their end was to SEND AN EMAIL to their shipping department to see if maybe they could do something about it. I was also told I could ship it back at my expense... right. I asked to speak to the supervisor directly, was put on hold, and was then told the supervisor was unavailable to speak to me. I asked for the name of the supervisor and was told she could not reveal that information. I asked for when the next supervisor shift started and I was given the same response. I asked if she could check store inventory to see if I could exchange locally and she said she could not. I asked if I could make this particular return in-store and she said I would have to call the store myself. The only thing she said they could do for me was to send an email to their shipping department. She never even asked for my order number. I have been an avid online shopper for over 10 years and not once have I encountered such completely irresponsible, incompetent, and unhelpful customer service. Order at your own risk and hope you have no issues."

"PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO NAVAGATE ThE PAGES.ON THE INTERNET. wISH THEY CARRIED PLUS SImZES. THE STORE OFFERS GOOD VALUE AND GREAT TFASHIONS BUT NEED MORE SALES HELP."

"I ordered 3 tops, 2 expensive, one cheap to get free shipping. Two items out of three received were wrong size, and defective, one item (tahari top) had numerous holes all over, not one, but 3! another one (massimo rebecchi sweater) had a hole as well. The packaging was terrible. Whoever packed my order did not take a pride in their job at all. Guess what? The cheap but still overpriced calvin klein item was fine. I returned part of my order with the note that said unbelievable! Even if I really wanted I wouldn't be able to screw it the way they did. Mistakes do happen, but common? two wrong sizes, and both of them damaged?? They lost a customer. I did receive my money back quickly."
