"The watched arrived in good time and the inclusion of a little screw driver was a bonus. The barcelet itself is nice and the solid endlinks have made a big difference. Unfortunately, one doesn't fit perfectly so there is a small gap. However, it doesn't cause a rattle. The thing i am slightly disappointed with is the clasp. It is milled but when you have it in the open position it rattles like the cheap Seiko ones. This gives it a bit of a cheap feel. However, once clipped shut it completely goes. So, not the biggest problem in the world. If i hadn't had the extra postage expense that was requires to ship to the U.K. i would be relatively happy. However, when considering the total amount i spent i am a bit disappointed."

"Ordering my Oyster style Kamasu bracelet was quick and easy. Customer service was fast and responsive to my concerns and questions. The bracelet itself is MUCH better quality than what came with the watch. No more rattles, it feels great around the wrist because of the tapering and ease of micro adjustments and I prefer the screw pins rather than push pins. Solid end links are the way to go. Now I had paid for certified mail when I ordered the Jubilee version but didn't like it and so I ordered the Oyster one with regular free shipping and the orders came in the same amount of time practically. I live in NYC and I think if you do too, I don't recommend paying extra for the certified shipping. Just my opinion. "
"I have a few entry level luxury watches that I'm retiring in order to keep in good shape for my son down the road. So my intent was to pick up a "daily/beater"; something for a good price that I won't freak out about if I scuff it up. I was researching another watch and saw that it was sold by a company I had never heard of called Island Watch Company. And this is where I discovered the ISL line. Namely the divers. I quickly got got side tracked off the other make and got caught up between the ILS-01, 02 and 74. My wife heard me cranking about not being able to decide and surprised me with the ISL-02 for Father's Day. And here is the problem:
I thought it would present as rather basic, but it's a far better-looking watch that i would have imagined. The fit and finish are phenomenal. The sapphire crystal with AR and the ceramic bezel, and the polished case have this watch sitting a here looking like a much higher priced time piece. So now... I have to STILL find a "beater" that I'm TRULY not worried about. Because this is my new favorite daily.
Size: the 43mm case wears more compact that you would think. But on my 8" wrist, it looks great.
Details: The indices being placed on the dial as opposed to painted on, and having the raised silver borders is a great touch. The Lume is ridiculous once charged up. Of course it calms down, but I don't need a full-time chem light. It does it's job throughout the night. Random note: I like the crown at the 4 o'clock position vs the three. And even the 120 click bezel feels superior to much more expensive watches that come with only 60 clicks. It's a tight turn, but i don't mind it all. I paused at the polished case for a second, as I'm a "brushed SS" type of guy, but I love it, and am frequently using my thumb under the t shirt to make sure it's streak-free lol. Even the bezel's high polished finish was something I thought I was going to switch out for the more subdues coin edge. But nope. It all works. And if you are a strap-switcher like I am, you'll love the drilled lugs that make life super easy.
While I told myself i was going to switch over to a domed crystal and sloped bezel insert when I picked up the watch, it turns out I like this flat look more than i thought I would. I'll not be modding this.
The watch is currently running about 12 seconds slow per day. I have no bitterness about this, as this is no worse than my others that cost ten times what the ISL costs. Even so, I plan to take it to my watch guy to get the movement tightened up a little more. And while I told my wife that I'm done with higher end watches, she now knows that I plan on picking up another ISL or even 2 to rotate through as the dailies.
This watch, without a doubt, punches up at a higher price point than LIWC sells it for. I can't say enough about it. They did a great job. As I've learned more about the watch industry, I've become a fan of "value" micro-brands in general, but LIWC has become the preferred make. In fact, I find that my desire to scroll through other makes to find "the right one" (that I've been doing for months) is legit over. If you're on the fence about it, be sure you hop off on the right side and pick up a LIWC time piece. You won't be let down. Peace. "
"I ordered an "O" style bracelet for my Orient Mako II watch. I was originally going to the site to buy a different brand that I have bought from before for a Seiko 5 I own. Then I saw Long Island Watch had their own bracelet for about $20 less. I decided to roll the dice and order that one instead knowing that if I did not like it, by reputation, Long Island would make it right. There was no need for that. What I received was of equal or superior quality to the other brand. The taper is wonderful. The curve of the solid end links fit the Mako II perfectly! The screws instead of pins made sizing the bracelet simple (even came with a small screwdriver that perfectly fit). The quality of the steel is just superb. The right strap or bracelet can sometimes be the difference between loving a watch and not loving it. This bracelet was a game changer in my view on this watch and the value for money on this bracelet is amazing. It punches above it's price point and delivers great value. If you have never ordered from Long Island. Do it. Watch lovers selling watches and watch accessories will always deliver greater service and quality than the Amazonians will sell you. "

"It's been a while since I've bought an SKX007J and bracelet from Marc at Long Island Watch. Way back then it was Marc doing pretty much everything I think. Long Island Watch is still a leader when it comes to service and great product selection.
So how good is the ISL-91? As the title says, better than a Spork - it has a better case and movement but still the great dial design. Better than an SKX because it has a better movement, sapphire chrystal, ceramic bezel insert... and as far as I can see has a higher build quality... For less than half the price of either of those watches on the pre-owned market. Simple, functional and great quality at an amazing price. I love the SKX case.... So the ISL-91 sits nicely in my collection along side the Seiko SARB59 and SARB061. Love this watch!"
