"I wish I could give 0 reviews on this “agency”. It’s true he worst service I’ve ever used. When I first booked the flight, they called me so that “ I could get a seat assigned”. Since I didn’t get my confirmation email after booking the flight, as usual, I thought this was a scam. After I called my bank to cancel the transaction because I never got the confirmation email, I finally got it. After that, I had a huge problem because my second last name wasn’t included in the ticket, these people had me calling Iberia because “based on their policies” they couldn’t do anything to change/add my second last name. That was a lie, I called Iberia and they said they couldn’t do anything because the ticket had been bought by a third party (cheapflights.com). At this point, I was very disappointed i was not only going to miss my vacation, but also loose my money. Plus, lookup fare kept telling me to call them back in 4 hours, in 8 hours, in 10 hours call after call and I was stupid to keep waisting my time in this scammers. They never got it resolved, but told me my only option was to book a new flight and then, I would get reimbursement of my money. HELL NO. How would I know i was going to get my money back?
Now, I’m waiting to see if my bank can do anything about this, all I can say is PLEASE don’t use this website. You can also deals through justfly.com or websites with better reviews. These people would yell at you and try to make you believe it’s your fault they’re stealing your money."
"In May 2018 I went to the Air Canada website to book 2 flights from Ottawa, Ontario to Calgary Alberta. I am very experienced since 2004 to book all my vacation rentals, cruises, flights, hotels, resorts vacations, car rentals on line. NEVER ONCE DID I EVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. However when I entered my origin and destination, I was directed to the booking site, and booked the flights to Calgary, and also the car rental, buying the insurance and sundries that were offered. In a little while I got at least 6 emails from a Company called LookUpFare.com , giving me a booking number and stating that I was booked for all of these flights. It was not until several days later, that I realized that Air Canada had not sent me a confirming email. I call Air Canada and talked to an agent who told me that I booked with a "third party". I asked the agent how this was possible because I was on the Air Canada website. The agent neither responded with a knowledgeable answer or seemed to care, but did confirm that I was on the flight. So I went back to the emails from LookUpFare.com, and was absolutely shocked. This is an American website, I was being charged over $1400 in American dollars (with the exchange rate, this translates into about $1884.00 Canadian), for 2 flights which had been advertised on the Air Canada website for approximately $1200. I talked to the Air Canada agent who did email me the cost of this flight in American dollars on the day that I booked, and it was comparable to what I would have paid Air Canada. It remains a mystery to me that I was on the Air Canada website, and when I booked I was on an American website. No one can explain how this happened to me. However, on researching this in the past few days, and reading reviews I am not the only person caught up in what I would have to call a deceitful act on the part of LookUpFare.com. Are they in collusion with Air Canada....because why would Air Canada allow this to happen on their website. So I called LookUpFare.com and talked to "Marcellus". This was a very unsatisfactory telephone call, because this agent either did not want to, or did not understand that as a Canadian citizen I went to a Canadian website, and booked with a Canadian airline. Why did my reservation go to a foreign website, and why was I not only overcharged for the flight, but also charged in American dollars, upping the cost of the flights by $600 Canadian. This conversation was not good, and may have been a teaching moment in how to make customers even more upset than what they already are when they realized that they have been hoodwinked. So Marcellus offered to refund me $300 USD. Knowing that I would probably not get a better offer, and being beaten down by trying to explain the issue to Marcellus, I accepted that, and was told a refund would be in the mail in about 10 business days. I said that I would prefer for LookUPFare.com to refund my credit card. Marcellus said this was not possible, which does not make any sense because they were able to charge my credit card for these flights and the vehicle rental. (Clue # 2 that something is not adding up). Imagine my surprise when after an email reminder to this company, I received a BLANK MONEY ORDER in the mail. There was nothing filled out in this money order which I received from "Cheap Flights LLC". So Cheap Flights and LookUpFare.com must be in some kind of partnership. I have not seen a money order in over 40 years, and wondered why an ONLINE company would send an archaic money order. I took it to my bank, which charged me $5 to examine it, and I was told that it could not be honored as there was no name of the sender or the receiver on it. At that time my trip commenced. Imagine also my surprise when I got to Discount Car Rentals in Calgary Alberta and found out that not only had LookUpFare.com rented 2 vehicles for me (I only asked for 1), but that Discount Car Rentals did not honor any of the insurance, sundries or other upfront costs I had paid to rent this vehicle. I had to pay $317.00 to rent this vehicle. So I am have lost approximately $900 to LookUpFare.com. When I returned from my trip, I was totally exhausted from the shenanigans with this company, so I wrote them an email entitled "you won this". I told them that I was a victim of their scam, and may they "enjoy their ill gotten gains". I also told them that I would find every travel website possible to review this company, and I also found that they have a Facebook page. When I started reading reviews of this company, I am not the only one who was the victim of this scam. Other Canadians have gone to the Air Canada website, Americans have gone on their airlines' website and have been victimized the same way. I have to believe these reviews, as the positive reviews were very short, while the negative reviews explained the experiences of these victims. So if I can stop one other person from being victimized by LookUpFare.com, that has become a mission for me. Please Please do not deal with this company. If you go to an airline website please be aware that airlines are allowing third parties to book flights for them. So this company fleeced me for approximately $900. In the course of events this is not a huge amount of money, but when this is multiplied by the many people who may unwittingly book and then find out that they cannot cancel, or change, or that verbal promises of refunds are null and void, LookUpFare.com is making thousands and thousands of dollars in an unethical manner. As a Canadian I want to deal and have always dealt with Canadian websites for my travel bookings. I do not want to be overcharged or charged in American dollars which are automatically exchanged to Canadian dollars therefore paying so much more money. This transaction was deceitful on the part of LookUpFare.com, but the promise to return some of the money to me was a lie. I think it was just to end the conversation. From what I understand they are dealing with a number of upset and frustrated customers. Some of the words in reviews are "scam", "disgusting", etc. I told LookUpFare.com that I would give an honest factual account of my experience on every website I could to discourage others from having my upsetting experience. I also blame Air Canada for allowing this website to pop up on their website. As a customer I am dealing in good faith, trying to find a decent price, only to find out that I have been fleeced to the tune of $900. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE; NEVER NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. READ REVIEWS. BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Thankyou."
"Worst customer service ever! After realizing that one family in my reservation has a misspelled name I called the customer service number. After 24 hours and multiple unreturned calls, I was told that for $250 it could be fixed. Only to be told 6 hours later the airline was rejecting the name change and it would cost $530 to fix. I called the airline directly which denied this. I called customer service back and asked for a manager which I was never passed in to and somehow the price went back to the $250 to fixed. Horrible to lie and cheat people"
