"Never buy any Lorex system"
"Very low quality customer service.
1. Low attention to detail, organization problems, and communication issues: I ordered a specific type of replacement cable from them. They sent me the wrong kind. I contacted Customer Service to get it exchanged. They promised to send the correct one within a week. After several weeks, the new cable still had not arrived. In response to this, I called to find out what the issue is and they replied that they were out of stock.
2. Very long hold times: Every time I’ve attempted to reach their Customer Service department by phone, I’ve had to wait on hold for at least an hour and a half. In one instance, I waited on hold for 2 ½ hours (literally) before a Customer Service Rep picked up the phone, and then they dropped the call after 15 seconds of speaking with me.
What a shame. I can’t use this product because they are not capable of supporting it! This company has lost my trust. I do NOT recommend the purchase of Lorex products to anybody.

"I have spend hours and hours WAITING on the PHONE for both technical and customer service. Have waited a number of times over one hours, only to be disconnected. Then call again, wait an hours, and again am disconnected.
Naturally, when I call SALES, people pick up fairly quickly! Customer service or technical you will wait for hours.
I have now bought one through sales, and already have had to wait over an hours to get them to process my order as the billing address and shipping address is different (what a surprise...it is for a vacation home). Still can not get through to customer service to straighten out the logging in on account (which I did NOT want to do and usual only check out as guest--but they never processed a prior order because of it).
I hope I do not regret this purchase when I get it. Supposedly, 60 days free shopping return policy. I assume it will take hours to get that shipping label sent from them as well.
Your product is ONLY AS GOOD as your support, IMO."
"I just purchased this LOREX system, and 1 week later (3/18/2019) called tech support to find out how to download videos and after 3 hours on the phone with an agent that could NOT make that work, she consequently messed up my system to the point where it would not interface with the cameras. A Supervisor then put in a request to send me a replacement DVR, and now 9 days later I get a damn antenna instead of the DVR. Long story short, LOREX simply cannot support their products. Therefore, their product line is useless to me and I discourage anyone from buying this product.
I want a full refund of this crummy purchase.

In 2014, I purchased a complete set of Lorex camcorders and it is a problem to program the equipment in order to view the cameras online.
But the biggest problem is that it is never possible to communicate with customer support, you can spend hours and hours on the phone and you never get a response.
Try by email and I only receive scams that leave my phone numbers and time to call me and only seek pretexts not to do so, if they call, but there are no numbers, when in previous occasions I have already received calls from Lorex to those same numbers .
The last time I managed to communicate with a Lorex employee, he indicated that he will download another application on my phone that is not from Lorex, because my equipment is supposed to be old, even though I bought it in 2014.
So far I'm still waiting for support from Lorex, without success.
I will never recommend that brand!

"On Black Friday I purchased a Web Crasher camera package. I already had another Lorex system but the recorder would not record any longer. I plugged up the new recorder and it worked for 2 days. Called the company and after one hour on hold I was told to back it was a special and they are not going to do anything for me. No Repair, No Return NOTHING.... Well wait he did offer me 25% off if I wanted to by a new unit at $250.00. On top of that I plugged up the new cameras to my old system and they don't work either. The worker there says they are not compatible because of the frame ware. "
"I bought a 4 camera system in Feb 2018 but could not pair them. I called customer srvc and they could not pair them. I was granted a refund today's date is October 28th, 2018 and I'm still waiting for my refund. I have called 5 times and they always say that the refund is 'processing' whatever that means. I would not recommend this security system to anyone. Oh, btw I bought (arlo) another 4camera system since then and it's been working just fine. Do not buy Lorex security camera system. You will regret it. "
"Bought 2 cameras. Worked for a couple of weeks. Had to change APP from Flir Secure to Lorex Secure. Nothing but problems. Cameras and APP worked, at best, 10% of the time! Tech support and company response...NOT AVAILABLE!!! I either remained on “telephone hold” for hours or emailed with no responses. They sell their products then don’t stand behind their products or technology. They couldn’t care less about customer problems or concerns. DO NOT MAKE SAME MISTAKE I MADE!!! Learn from my horrible, frustrating experience!! Nothing but money and time lost!!! Find another camera/security system!!! "
"Suppose to get replacement because the one thy sent me broke in a few month. Sent DVR for replacement 2 month ago and have been 19 hours waiting ob=n the phone since August and still no machine no refund just lies from supervisors on down, They will lie to you if you get through to talk to them, STAY AWAY from lorex."
"Purchased new lorex lmu3724 series, didnt work from day 1 from the box, could not get the cameras to pair with receiver, had 2 friends who currently have nest units installed to try, they couldnt get them to pair either, the cameras were litterally 3 feet from receiver, called tech support no help there, we tried factory default, still no luck, they advised poor receiver, going to replace, i purchased a no name wifi camera no problem in connecting to router,,paid $50. for camera, paid $600 for a box of crap. waiting for new receiver and will see if this works, if not its all going back. would highly look at other companies before lorex."
"I purchased this product at Costco - opened it and installed the entire 6 camera unit and the DVR wouldn't work - was on customer service for hours and they determined it was a faulty DVR and said they would ship me a replacement that I would receive in 5-7 days. Fast forward a MONTH and I'M STILL WAITING FOR IT. Every time I call to get an update they say it is being shipped but they can't give me a delivery number yet that UPS will generate one shortly - THIS HAS HAPPENED FOR A MONTH - Still nothing - called to get a "supervisor" who said the same thing and then just sent me to eternal hold. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I'm stunned that Costco carries this brand - they typically have great products. Will be contacting them also."
