"They won't ship to me. I am especially angry because I shared their information with all of my friends, and many bought because I recommended them. I was very excited because I love wine and getting a tasting profile and suggestions of wines I may not have ever discovered on my own was really intriguing.

First I go online to redeem, but it won't accept my work address. Then it won't accept my home address. I try to call them, but nobody is there. I email them and I post on their Facebook page. They get back to me on Facebook and tell me that they are more than happy to work with me. However, the email I received from them didn't even remotely address my concern. I had already told them I tried work and home addresses, and neither worked. Their response? Try your work address.

I respond back, explaining it more. They respond that even though they ship UPS or FedEx they use USPS to verify addresses. There's the issue - we dont get home to home mail delivery where I live and work, everyone has to use a PO box. But surely there is a way they can fix it? Nope. They don't even want to try. In fact, they were rude to me in several emails, on Facebook, and over the phone. I had tried calling them four times but only got through on the last call, and the man who answered the phone told me that they didn't care to have me as a customer.

Considering all the reviews I am seeing now, I guess perhaps I should be happy that they don't want my business. Maybe I don't want to give them my money. I wish I could give them less than a 1 star rating.

"Terrible experience. Stay away. Do not give them your credit card number.

I tried to cancel subscription and sent 2 emails to ask explicitly to cancel (in February and again in April) but never heard back from them. One day in May a nondescript box shows up at my door, without any prior email notice of shipment. Suspicious, I checked my tasting room account online and noticed that the subscription was still active and they'd charged $168.99 to my card. Customer service said they will not take back the wine, even though I explained that I tried to cancel.

After being unhelpful via customer service, they fought back and over turned the dispute I filed with my credit card company. It has taken me nearly 5 months to get my money back by filing a complaint with the BBB. I have since cancelled this credit card so they may never charge me again because I don't trust this company at all.

"I have been with Lot 18 since its inception. When it first started, it had good hard to find wines at a reasonable price. I have made several buys from them and fortunately never needed customer service. However, for the past couple of years, their pricing has not been in line on most wines. Today, I checked winesearcher for a featured wine and there were many listings at at least 25% less. Therefore, check around on pricing before placing your order."

"Tasting Room / Lot 18 states they give you the chance to cancel, but they make it extremely difficult and never, NEVER answer the telephone. They will eventually get back to you by email, but tell you it is too late to cancel, even a week before the shipment has even been shipped.
I asked why I had not heard from them before the shipment email and they stated their technical department saw I had opened two emails that I don't see in my emails? I don't delete anything!
So technical, but they can't answer the phone?

"Customer service is horrible! You cannot get a live person to answer the phone, or even call you back. You can send an email, but the response time took almost two days and they refused to rectify the situation. Better read the fine print or you will be stuck with an unexpected bill for goods you did not order. It is a shame that such a great concept is ruined by their failure to, and lack of interest in, keeping the customer happy and coming back for more. I was truly disappointed and will never use their service again. Could have been a great concept if they had followed through with the most crucial part of running a business...customer service is key in any business."

"Ordered through Lot18 Tasting Room and everything has been perfect so far! Haven't had any problems, so I hope they are helpful if I ever need service.

So far, I've gotten a couple shipments of tasty wine and my boyfriend and I are enjoying this service!

"Terrible! If you are lucky enough to not have any issues with your shipment, you're fine. But if there is an issue, don't expect to get any resolution. There is absolutely no customer service available. "

"No returns for any reason. If you have a billing issue, there is no customer service by phone, only by email. Initial response time takes a couple of days and expect a full day between each subsequent reply. In short, almost non-existent customer service. Not only that, their customer service is not helpful in the least. If you don't need to interact with customer service then you may be fine, and you can occasionally find ok deals on decent wines."
