"my daughter left her passport behind at edonburgh airport along with her return visa. Long story short on her return flight from.EDI was told by a very nice gentleman that no passports had been handed in at all. She arrived in BFS to find that when she checked luggage point online that they DID have the passport after all but she had to collect it the next day in person. The flights cost £210 due to the incompetence of the staff member. On her behalf I contacted luggagepoint to request that she be compensated for her flights through no fault of her own. Long story short she was told no as tbey had waived the inconsequential £20 handling fee . absolute joke of a company. Definitely going to pursue through small claims court "
"As an introduction, Luggage Point take around 5 minutes to attempt to remove reviews from websites but don’t bother responding to complaints after more than a week. Anyway, here’s what you can expect from them. I’m trying hard not to make jokes that they see as being slanderous. Precious petals:
This is a staggeringly bad company with awful customer service. The owners of the airport should be ashamed to have anything to do with them. To explain, if you lose something in Glasgow Airport the airport no longer have a lost property service - instead they have (presumably been paid) to farm the 'service' out to this outfit (who, in the slim chance your property is found and correctly entered into their 'system', will charge you through the nose to return your own property to you. What a world we live in).
I left my jacket in one of the bars after security in Glasgow Airport. I realised as soon as I got on the plane, around 15 minutes after leaving it and called the number repeatedly. No answer. I then emailed them. 24 hours later there was no reply. I then called them and the phone was answered by somebody who could hardly be bothered talking to me - giving the impression he wasn't even listening to my description of the jacket. "Aye, naw, there's nothing like that here. But it can take days for it to get here. Aye, I'd call the bar if I were you. I mean, I don't know if it'll even turn up here 'ken". When I called the bar the woman said they had no record of lost property at the bar and didn't seem to have a clue where it went if it was handed in. She thought it went to "a shop" in Glasgow. Called the lost property number again and - no surprise - there was no answer (the person clearly having had enough having answered it once that day). Handily they have a database online with all the items that have been found (although lord knows how accurate it is when there seem to be no system in place to log items). The only problem is that when you try to claim an item it logs it and emails the company with your request. And guess what? The company completely ignores your request.
So, was my jacket found? I still have no idea. If it was I’m not sure it would even be worth the amount these geezers would charge me, even if they would answer a phone or an email. It really is an example of how horrid the world is now. Hang your head in shame Glasgow Airport.
My advice? You'd have more chance of getting your items back if you chucked them off a cliff than you would if you left them in any airport covered by Luggage Point."
"Having had problems with Luggage Point in terms of non-refund for a (expensive) Lost Property carrier service that failed, I was pleased to be contacted by one of their Directors who arranged a full refund, and a gift voucher to be used at one of their stores. This took some persistence on my part but I believe they will enhance process to improve that situation."
"I have contacted luggage point over 5 times. They state that they will reply to your enquiry within 3 days. I am still waiting for any reply at all. The device is terrible and totally pointless. "
"I lost a significant amount of foreign currency in Birmingham airport before a holiday. I was told on the plane it had been handed in and to collect it on my return. On my return I was told I would have to arrange a time when a manager would be present as it was cash.
I sent two emails with no reply, made a phone call and was told they didn't have my money. Finally a third email was replied to confirming they had the money but that I would have go to the airport or send someone with Id and stating the fee was £10.
I took a 3 hour train ride to pick up my cash only to be told that the system had been changed and they would have to bank transfer the money. Rather than £10 I am now being charged for currency conversion I don't want and a 5% fee on top in addition to the money I unnecessarily spent on the train and loss of a day's wages.
Useless staff, useless ripoff service avoid at all costs"
"I lost my keys and lanyard in Stansted the other day. On the date I lost it, they listed on their website a keys and lanyard description in Stansted. I thought to myself: this must be mine! But I'll have to pay 50 pounds for storage, and 30 for shipping. I said, damn it I'll pay, since I want the keys. So I emailed them. Nothing. I completed an online enquiry and submitted it to multiple emails. Nothing. I called and called and waited on the phone for max of half an hour. Still nothing. I think bots are manning this service. No human could do a worse job. I never received a non-automated or phone-machine reply, not a soul peeping. Would love to work for this company. Offices must be empty or something. Everybody's on vacation. To be honest, if I was charging 80 pounds for lost keys I would be on holiday for most of the year too. They don't even want to take my money for their overpriced service. Too bad, I was actually willing to spend it. They probably saved my hide and forced me to keep it. Thanks, I guess?"
"After ringing dozens of times and spending over a hour in total waiting in a queue I finally managed to speak to someone. Their email response is really poor too. Be really careful with your possessions because if you rely on Luggage Point to get something back your chances are slim to none. Also the Stansted line is apparently '24 hours' but that is a lie!"
"Awful company. They have tried to charge me £30.55 just to post a personal item back to me that was accidentally left in my bag and removed at security in Birmingham airport. The item weighs 255grams and is less that 4 x 1 inches in size. To put that into context Royal mail would charge me £3.90 for the same item but they refuse to use them and can't explain why. I offered to collect the item from their Birmingham depot the next time I am there (and pay their £8 charge) which is 37 days after they received it. Despite being told by their Birmingham branch that they would keep it for 90 days they are now telling me they will destroy it after 30 days. THAT'S how unhelpful and petty a business I am dealing with. Do yourself a favour and never ever deal with them in any way. I really wish I hadn't."
"Traveled from Stansted Airport and had an item left with them until my return flight. They ask I email them and they will be in contract within 24 hours, so I can collect the item from them when I am back. I emailed them and received no reply. Hoping that I might have a reply by the time I got back to Stansted but had nothing.
Not able to collect so had to leave and travel 4 hours home.
5 days or so later they reply saying I can collect my item for a charge.
I replied back telling them they are late in their reply and I am no longer able to collect.
Now they are being awkward and refuse to post because it contains deodorant. Royal Mail allows this item to be posted, it's on their web site.
Really bad conpany to deal with."
"I purchased a Samsonite Fiero 21 Spinner from LuggagePoint. I wanted to return the item. LuggagePoint did not offer a return label. They don't offer free returns. You are responsible for your return fees, They sent an email saying that I could return the item at no cost. After which, they sent another email saying, that I am responsible for the return. I will not buy anything from LuggagePoint. I suggest you don't. Otherwise they will not offer you free return shipping."
"This review follows a negative review I recently posted re: LuggagePoint. They have done me more than right! And I sincerely believe they did not do it because of my negative reviews – had I given them a chance after my initial encounter with their third party servicer customer service process, the review would not have been posted.
The process is for the customer service department to contact the shipping or billing department for customer concerns. This frustrated me when I had the problem on not receiving a bag as promised. I was skeptical that I would get a timely callback and angry that I had to wait on a callback and spouted off my frustrations in emails. Almost as soon as I sent the posts off I received a call from the shipping manager who said she had received the email from their customer service company and she wanted to let me know the status of my order and why it was delayed. The bag was on backorder from the manufacturer and their hands were tied on delivery but they had been working with the manufacturer DAILY to get it resolved.
Fast forward – this woman did everything and anything she could to get my bag to me – important in that it was for a retirement party two days away – guests had collectively raised money to buy the bag and each was bringing a travel item to stuff in the bag so NO BAG meant egg on my face as the coordinator of the purchase ?.
********Do not hesitate to trust LuggagePoint, as I erroneously did. I think on hindsight LuggagePoint did more than any other company would have done to locate one and expedite it to me the morning of the party scheduled for 1PM.
I am a worldwide traveler, multiple user of bags……………..and a lifelong customer of LuggagePoint. Thanks and thanks again to that caring and diligent shipping rep – many safe journeys to you.

"Not very reliable. Have overdue payments."
"Suspect they drop ship a lot of their orders and therefore have little control over shipping, cancellations, etc. They were not able to provide status 3 days after ordering after stating 'most orders ship in 24 hrs.' Also I seemed to get disconnected a few times when I called into cancel. Would avoid"
