"Great company to buy a gaming laptop from. I've bought one from Alienware before, and PC Microworks (before they went out of business), and a desktop from Cyberpowerpc.com, and Malibal is by far my most pleasant buying experience. I put in an order for the X8100 (I think they call it "Veda"). I ran identical configuations on powernotebooks.com, pctorque.com, sagernotebook.com, and malibal came out to be the cheapest.

Oh, and their X8100's come with the cool looking graphic on the lid and not the word "Sager" which is an OCD plus for me. :)

Anyway, I placed the order late on a Sunday night, and the laptop was at my door 2 Tuesdays later, only took 7 busines days. Showed up exactly as ordered, NO DEAD PIXELS, and worked perfectly. It actually performs better than I thought it would. The Veda series runs games just as good as the last desktop PC I built. Maybe I just haven't owned a gaming laptop in a while, but it's insane what these things can do now. The words "desktop replacement" aren't just a marketing ploy with the Veda series. It's the truth. Trust me.

I feel like things went too well, so I have to "complain" about something. I ordered the Belkin gaming pad along with my laptop from Malibal's website, but they didn't carry it anymore, even though it was still posted for sale on their website, so they took it off my invoice and all was well. It was actually a good thing, because then I found the Logitech G13 gaming pad and find it to be much superior to the Belkin unit, so I'm glad they didn't have it.

Anyway, that's my "complaint." Yes, it was sarcasm. I have no complaints. Honest, reliable company, which is VERY important when you're spending 3k on a laptop.

"A great company to work with. My Satori arrived well packaged and everything is working as advertised. This is one fast machine. I was replacing an Acer Ferrari and looked at a lot of high end custom built Clevo's and no one can touch the price or service you get at Malibal. It was even nicer as I was able to take advantage of one of Mailbal's deals where they offer so much off the price for a particular configuration or better.
One item I would have liked to see offered is a laptop cooler for each of the models they offer as I am sure they would put as much research into a quality unit for those as well just like they do their pc models.
A wish, if I could have one, would be that they might look into modding the cooling system over the stock unit and offer that in the future. I am sure with the attention to detail I have seen so far it would be an option that many people would like to see offered.
All in all I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a very well built solid and fast laptop. The cooling items I mention are just extra and reflect the quality I recieved from Malibal.
I know I will be ordering again when the time comes. "

"I just got my new laptop(Lotus) today evening by UPS. WHen I first used it, I found that the loading speed of the installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit was faster than i thought. As I have the other acer laptop with I7 also, I can compare them( the configurations are almost the same. Just Acer: i7 720Q, but Malibal is I7 820Q; 5400rpm HDD(acer), but 7200 RPM in Malibal laptop. The last thing that different is 8GB of ram(Acer) 4GB of Malibal(Same Mhz and DDR3)

Although the laptop of Malibal just has 4gb ram, but when it is loading or installing something, the speed is much faster than Acer's Laptop does. The performance is awesome too. Furthermore, one thing that I think I got is the perfect keyboard. It's perfect for gaming.

One thing that i think slight a flaw in an apparently perfect thing is that the mousepad do has multi-touch function, but not work very well and non-sensitive. It makes me suprised a little bit. However, if u do not mind it, then just get this perfect laptop :)

I will suggest it to my friend defintely. The price is very value to get the thing you want.


P.S: the customer service of Malbal is excellent. I have asked a lot of questions( all by using Email). They still answered me without feel annoying"

"Amazin customer service! I get answers in matter of minutes rather than hours or days later. They have a good solid product but nothing comes close to them making sure that you get what you want. Any issues can get taken care of in faster than resonable time compared to any other company. When you talk to customer service there is no "we revived your email and are forwarding it to the appropriate department" you talk to someone rigt away. Just can't be happier with the managemnt of this company, and they are an American company at that."

"This MALIBAL Nine D900F Desktop Replacement is absolutely stellar!!!! I un-boxed this awesome piece of technology very quickly after having placed the order over the phone with the knowledgeable, friendly, and speedy folks of Malibal. It arrived in superb packaging which was very secure and well padded to keep this puppy comfy and damage free on its trip to me. I could not have asked for a better machine! This thing is soooooooooo fast, especially when you rock the I 975 cpu with the triple channel ram, the Intel SSD, a rocking sized HDD for bulk storage, and finally a blu ray drive!!!!!! This rig can handle anything i toss at it with no effort at all and what i love most aside from its grand layout and wide array of ports and connections is the super hd res screen rocking 1920 X 1200!!!! "I purchased the Veda series of laptop from Malibal.

The cost was $3,900.20 for the options that I chose.
Pros:
It arrived a few days later and was very well packed in a double box. It is a heavy laptop but I knew this prior to receiving it. It looked extremely well made with lots of high gloss.

Cons:
After unpacking it fully and connecting the power block then switching on the computer I noticed that the hard disk light showed nothing. The screen however did show that the bios was working and it then reported no operating system installed. At this time I contacted Malibal who informed me that the computer did not come with an operating system and that I needed to buy that separately. At a cost of $3,900 rightly or wrongly I assumed that it would have had an operating system installed. Even a cheap $300 netbook computer comes with an operating system pre-installed.

I was told by Malibal that I could install Linux onto the laptop or Windows. I downloaded (separate PC) Ubuntu and Fedora Linux. Neither of which found the wireless adapter. So I then downloaded Windows Server 2008. This ran but did not allow for some of the features of the laptop to run. The drivers provided were not compatible and therefor I then installed Vista. This time most of the drivers worked but the finger print reader did not.

Having looked more closely at the software on the CD's provided and consulting the web manual, I concluded that the only way to use all the features on the laptop Windows 7 would have to be installed. This is not what I wanted and because the hard disk light, num lock, Caps lock and Scroll light did not function at all I contacted Malibal once again.

They informed me that they had not experienced the mal-function of the Leds and asked me to return the computer for them to fault find.

The whole experience of this laptop has put me in a position of not having faith in it being of good build quality or poor inspection on the part of Malibal and I therefor have requested that they refund me on the return of the computer.

I will update this review once I have been given a refund.

Malibal has given me a refund less postage to me. So the whole deal cost me $125.30. I have to thank Malibal for the very fast refund (1 day). Needless to say they told me that the LED's worked when they received the computer at their establishment. So it has to be a loose connection there somewhere and I hope they investigate it further to ensure that PC does not go out to someone else.

All in all Malibal are a good company who stand by their products and reputation. In my case it went wrong and I did loose out financially.

If you are buying one of their PC's just make sure you read all the small print and I don't think you will be disappointed."

"I've built my own desktops for as long as I can remember, but I recently had the desire to get a mobile gaming laptop. I have high expectations when I game (if it doesn't look good, or if there are performance issues, I won't play something), and I took almost 4 months to research what I wanted my new laptop to be. I narrowed it down to either an Alienware m17x or a Sager/Clevo model. The 18" Clevo seemed a little too big and heavy for my tastes, and I don't need the 17" model with 3 hard drives, so the Sager 8760/Clevo W870CU looked like it was right for me. A friend of mine had an m17x and it was awesome, but the configuration I wanted was almost $4,000 plus there was no sign of Alienware building the new Radeon 5870's into their models, which factored into my decision. There are a lot of Sager/Clevo resellers out there, and Malibal had excellent reviews across the board, especially for people who had issues and needed customer service. I have bought laptops before and they last me a long time, so I wanted a company that I could count on if I needed help. I just received my Satori model today and I couldn't be happier with it. Malibal had my order out the door in 3 business days and delivered by the end of the week. They did not load up the machine with any bloatware either. Thank you Malibal for making this an easy decision and purchase for me, I will be recommending you to my friends for when they need to buy their next machines.

Update after delivery: Dissapointments. 1) HUGE size of power supply - NOT good for travel 2) not as fast as i had hoped with the i7 doing my # crunching. I've seen it engage the turbo boost only once when things were screaming fast. Why!? only once>? 3) Boot time is not impressive as I had hoped 4) have had to support myself as my company doesn't support Win7 yet and this has made actually getting things done quite difficult - this is -my- issue I realize. :) 5) System doesn't quite fit in my bag - I can live with that. 6) i find myself accidentaly touching the touch pad when typing (Never happened on my Lenovo) THis is a royal pain as it jumps the cursor around. ARRG 7) Taking a long time to get used to the keyboard. I am very much less efficent typer. ARRG 8) hard to see the Fn blue keys when it is dark 9) internal camera is not always recognized by Skype - don't know why."
