"The level of craftsmanship is truly first rate. They made a beautiful desk for me and I couldn't be happier. Their production team was extremely communicative and open to requests and suggestions during the construction of the desk. False Advertising, Unscrupulous Business Practice, and Constantly Lies

"We've purchased from MBW Furniture at least 4 times. In every instance we've had a bad experience. The first time I purchase through eBay. The package was left in the pouring rain on our doorstep. The delivery company never bother to ring our doorbell to let us know the package arrived. The drive forged my signature.

The second time we ordered a plant stand and got a presidential desk. The third time, when we found the same item at 1/3 the cost they refused to cancel the order then charged us an additional 35% restocking fee.

The fourth time, the one we are going through now. We've been waiting for our nightstand to get to us. We originally placed the order back in July 2016. After 3 weeks had passed I had to reach out to them to find out the status of our order. The order was for a custom antique gold rococo nightstand. It actually stated that on the invoice, but since they said they didn't see the request for a gold one, they would only ship us a black one. They told us a gold one would cost an additional $205 and would take an additional 5 months to ship. We agreed to the price.

The product arrived 3 weeks late. It was damaged upon delivery. The nightstand which on their website states that it suppose to be made of Mahogany ended up being made of plywood. The whole thing was a mess. We asked for our money back. Eventually we agreed for a replacement and a sorry gift from Mr. Basil Halta, the owner himself. He said he would personally take care of this since we have had such a bad experience. It's been 6 months since that we have been waiting for this "replacement" nightstand. It was suppose to have arrived in March. Mr. Halta, made up an excuse that it was stuck at customs. He promised April. It never arrived. Each time we called for an update we got another excuse why it wasn't available. It's May now. We were told it was on it way to California when their truck broke down driving in the hills here. It took them a month to drive from Georgia to California. We were then told it wouldn't get to us until mid June. By this point we were fed up so we called 7 on your side (ABC News).

Today (May 26, 2017) was the delivery day. We've just been told that the delivery company they went to has misplaced our furniture and they do not know where it is. They said when the open the doors to the freight it was suppose to on, nothing was there. On top of that. Mr. Halta and his company are conveniently not answering their phones today. We told them that if could not get our nightstand by today we wanted a full refund. Obviously we are not going to get our refund today.

What's even more striking is that the same exact nightstand that we have been waiting for 11 months to arrive suddenly appeared on eBay recently, to be auctioned to the highest bidder. I find it hard to believe that the item that MBW Furniture is selling isn't the same one we have been waiting for since July 2016. At this point we are done with this company. My warning to everyone else, you may have been lucky with this company once, but eventually they're going to scam you like they have done to countless others here.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

"They have great quality furniture for the best prices out of anyone else (I shopped around at dozens of places, from designer furniture stores all the way to IKEA.) And as far as customer service goes -- let me tell you what happened... I ordered a sofa for pick up. It was all wrapped up so I didn't bother to unwrap to check if it was the right one. Basil the owner himself checked the order # so I figured we were good to go. We took it home in our U-Haul and when we carried it all the way up 3 flights of stairs and into my apartment, started to unwrap it, noticed it was the completely wrong couch!! I was frustrated as heck, so I called Basil back, explained to him what happened, and wanted it fixed asap. I tried to not be rude, but wanted them to understand this was now a huge frustrating inconvenience of my day. I also didn't want to carry the heavy thing all the way back down and take it back to the store. Basil made it a mission to fix the problem 100% and even went above and beyond what I expected. He called over 10 delivery places to see if any could squeeze 1 more home service same day, had them deliver the right couch within 5 hours, took the wrong one back, AND reimbursed me for my $40 U-haul fee due to inconvenience AND reimbursed me another $150 of what I paid on the couch itself (it ended up being the floor model which I was ok with). He was so sincere and apologetic, and also assured me that this type of mistake never ever happens and it was merely a minor human error of getting 1 digit mixed up in the order. In the end, MBW Furniture handled the situation as best and professional as one could do. I was super happy, thank you guys!!!"

BUYER BEWARE!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE ****

"HORRIBLE!!! i cant even get into how horrible their service is BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. I paid $500 for white glove delivery service. No one even scheduled the delivery with me, even though they had my cell, home phone and email address. While i was at work i received a call from "NATE" the delivery man that he was 5 mins away from my house. Had to frantically make up an excuse and leave my job, when i got to my house the delivery man asked who was going to help him move the 2000 lb bar off the truck into the house and down the stairs. I told him it wasnt me and that i had paid $500 for white glove delivery service which included delivety, setup, and cleanup of all garbage.I informed him i had even spoken to BASIL HALTA OWNER OF MBW Furniture and i was guaranteed this. Well Nate just didnt know what to do since he came 3 days driving down from Georgia by himself. I called Basil Halta who could not believe the delivery company( WHICH HE CONTRACTED, NOT ME) only sent one delivery person and that it would be impossible for him to do alone. Basil Halta then asked me to pass the phone to 'NATE' the delivery person. After they spoke on the phone, NATE informed me that he would be back within an hour and was going to look for some to help him. At this point I should've refused the delivery. An hour later he came back informing me that he found a man willing to help him on some corner but he only spoke Spanish and asked if i spoke spanish which i dont. The whole move of these 5 pieces took over 9 hours( IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 3 PROFESSIONAL MOVERS) In the meantime my beautiful brand new wooden floors were horribly scratched and need to be repaired because they were pushing these pieces on my wooden floor and scratching DEEPLY my wooden floors until i screamed at them, and Nate apologized saying it was the Spanish speaking mans fault because he didn't understand to lift but instead pushed??!!!?? There are holes and dents in my walls throughout the house and and my staircase is chipped because it was just way too heavy for 2 men to carry. I had to enlist a school mom to pick up my kids from school because i was trapped here and when the mom came Nate asked not only me but the school mom to help him put on the top of the bar holding 4 banisters, one of them clubbed and hit the school moms nose causing it to bleed. we though it was broken!!!
I felt so horribly bad for Nate the delivery mam, he worked so hard didn't even want a sip of water i offered him. He really should've never been placed in that situation to move such gargantuan furniture by himself.
I called Linda at customer service MBW the very next day and sent 20 pictures of damages to my home, even got a floor estimate of $500 and have been chasing BASIL HALTA FOR A MONTH. Heck, at this point i can forgive the walls and staircase damage but the correct and christian thing would be to either send someone to fix my floors or pay me so i can fix my floors. MBW is very unprofessional, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK

"I ordered and was charged for a pair of French chairs on the Web Site. After 3-4 weeks and no chairs or even a shipping date, I called. I was told that there was no way those chairs were listed at that price on the site. They refused to fill the order. They did refund my money, after they used it for a month. I can't imagine a scenario where I would recommend this company nor do business with again. Does the phrase "bait and switch" sound familiar?"

"I have a couple of stools from MBW Furniture and they were at my door within the next week, so I decided to give them another shot, this time I ordered one of their custom made items, nothing too huge, a few chess sets. They have been in contact with me and even sent pictures of the completed sets - they look amazing, and for something made from scratch with such detail, waiting 3 months was no problem. Thank-you so much, we couldn't be happier with the results. "
