"BUYER BEWARE: IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LANDLINE. YOUR ORDER TAKES 10 BUSINESS DAYS TO SHIP AFTER THEY RECEIVE YOUR CHECK--EVEN IF IT'S A BANK CERTIFIED CHECK. THEY DON'T TELL YOU THE 10 BUSINESS DAY RULE UNLESS YOU ASK.
BUY FROM A LOCAL MERCHANT, REBATE OR NO REBATE.
I AM 100% NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE."
"I ordered a Mac Pro from this company that specifically was listed as "In Stock" and "Ships Today". It most certainly DID NOT ship when they said it would. I called to cancel the order and was told that it "just shipped". Wow, it was like magic!
When I asked for an explanation why the web site says it will ship same day and it doesn't, I got nothing. I guess there's more magic in the system! Things "just happen". This is completely unacceptable.
I would recommend avoiding these idiots. I know I will NEVER order from them again.

"After having done thorough research on where to buy a White MacBook, I stumbled upon this site. Very simple to navigate and their process to obtain the proper rebates for my purchase was very easy and straightforward.
I placed an order on 1/13 early in the morning and was then contacted a couple of hours later over the phone for security purposes to verify my identity and such. Their customer support was very nice and courteous. The MacBook I had ordered was labeled "In Stock, will ship today," and it did ship that business day.
The free ground shipping and no tax (I live in CA) really sealed the deal for me. My order arrived on time via UPS and I would definitely do business with them again for anything Mac related."
"I researched prices all over the web before going to MacConnection. Great deals, and great customer service. This was the first time I have ever ordered such an expensive item online so I was a little paranoid and called MacConnection a couple times. They responded quickly and were very helpful. My macbook arrived within five days of placing my order and I could not be happier with it. I recommend this site to other online shoppers. "
"Very bad customer service. I just bought a macbook on Jan 2nd and received it yesterday (01/07/08).I specifically bought it after christmas to get 09 softwares. The laptop had ilife 08 on it. I contacted mac connection thinking they will offer a free upgrade on a cheap software for a customer who just bought a multithousands dollars item. Not only did they not offer a free upgrade, not even a 1$ discount but they were just RUDE on the phone and said it is not their problem and I have to call apple. Stay away from this seller, once they get your money they don't care anymore!"
"Ordered a new Macbook Pro from them over the Black Friday Sale weekend.
Pro: Order processing was smooth online - I had no problems at all. More important they don't bill until they ship!
Con: Website indicated same day shipping when in reality the office and shipping was closed for the holiday weekend. Not unexpected, but the website should be current with the shipping times.
Con: Called on Mon/Tues of the next week since the order did not indicate shipped. Turns out they were really backed up from Black Friday. This was not good as I only had a narrow window of availability to be home for pickup.
Pro: When I called and indicated the shipping problem, They bumped the shipping to Two Day for free! Delivery problem solved.
Pro: Laptop arrived on time, safely packaged and with no problems!
Pro: The customer service center was fantastic, friendly and willing to help. They sincerely met my expectations without any arguments at all. If only more Web retailers were this nice.
I would definitely shop with them again!"
"This company is really horrible. I purchased a new iMac and when I received the order the monitor had dead pixles. The actually had the audacity to refuse my return because there were fewer than 8 dead pixels. Buyer beware. I would pay the extra $50 and buy directly from the apple store."
"Received items in a timely manner. However, one item had a rebate. Forms were filled out & sent. 3 months later, I called their rebate center & I'm told "there is nothing in the system & we're not responsible for lost mail". Why is it rebate forms seem to be lost more than any other item mailed.
I will put Macconnection at the bottom of my list to buy products from."
"I purchased one of those new Drobo storage devices from macconnection.com on July 3rd, 2007. The website said it is "in stock" and would ship "today". I placed my order late at night so with the 4th of July the next day, I assumed it would be shipped on July 5th.
I kept checking my order and on July 8th I finally sent them an email asking what was the hold up...no response. I called the 1800 number and the operator was very rude...she said the company was backed up because of the July 4th holiday. That's NO excuse as I ordered two 500gb drives from Newegg the same time and it had already arrived. The lady then asked for my order number, looked it up and asked why my phone number was the same for work and home. I said because I only use that number...she gave me a hard time and demanded my landline number before she could process my order. That's BS! I've ordered $1000's of dollars of merchandise online and have done the same. Anyways, after reluctantly giving her my number, she said it would be processed in a few days.
I received an email that the item shipped on July 10th. I received it on July 13th.
I will never buy from macconnection or pcconnection.com again. My item shipped 7 days after I placed the order even though it said "ships today". ( I would have been ok if it shipped the day after 4th of july). The customer service rep was very rude to me.
Turns out the item was defective..who knows how long it was sitting in their inventory pile. I contacted the manufacturer and they over-nighted me a brand new one. "
"Purchase a macbook that cost less than the apple's education store! Thats not even including the mail in rebate.
Fast shipping (I upgraded to next day air for a very reasonable price - only a $20 difference b'twn 3 day and next day), great prices, and best of all - no sales tax!"
"Ordered computer from website- said "in-stock-ships today" and even confirmed on phone 30 minutes before ordering that item was in stock. Promptly received confirmation. When didn't receive shipping notification the next day I called and was told the item was out of stock. They didn't even apologize for not notifying me saying it eventually would have shown up as cancelled."
"I ordered a cd-burner on 12/9/2005 which was listed as "In-stock." When I checked the order number a few days later (original order was 40454986) there was nothing in the system.
Called after a week to check when the order still wasnt showing up, to find out they changed the order number without notifying me due to the drive needing to be shuffled between wherehouses since they don't charge tax in California.
I was told then that the drive was on the way to the 'other wherehouse' and would ship in the next few days. It didn't.
After a few more calls and almost a month since the original order was placed, the drive still has not shipped and is now listed as being on back order.
The customer service reps have been apologetic but frankly not very helpful, they keep telling me it should be shipping 'soon.'

"Very easy ordering. Rapid delivery. I placed an order on Monday afternoon, and the item arrived Wednesday afternoon."
"Easy ordering from their Web site. Very fast shipment."
"Prior to placing my April 30, 2004 order for approximately $1,900 worth of merchandise from PC Connection / MacConnection (my first purchase from this company), I called to inquire about their pricing policy. Specifically, I wanted to know what would happen if any of the items were discounted in the near future. The representative to whom I spoke (a man) said roughly the following:
"If we lower any of our prices or run a discount promotion within thirty days of your order, just call us back and we’ll credit you the difference. The one exception is mail-in rebates; those go by date, and we have no control over them."
As it turned out, a "free shipping on web orders over $500" promotion began on May 1 –- less than nine hours after I placed my order. Upon learning of this, I called to request my refund. Astoundingly, I was told that such a policy never existed. This representative (a woman) was very rude, and had the audacity to suggest that I "call the man who gave me the false information and take it up with him." She said this knowing full well that she and her colleagues don’t provide their names (or any sort of specific employee identification) to callers.
So I’m stuck paying $32+ more than I would have if I’d simply waited nine hours, and PC Connection / MacConnection would rather lose me as a customer than do the right thing. What a shame."
