"I made a repair claim, got the quote and then got approved for a full payout from Mack. They said payouts happen in 120 business days which is ridiculous but agreed none the less. 8 months on now I have not received my payment and they will not reply to my 4 last emails.
Avoid at all costs. They will lead you on then disappear. "
"mack warranty and camera is going out of business and is not servicing their warranties or paying out from any previously made settlments . do not buy a warranty from them and only thing u can do is file claim in small claims court in union county and hope there is some money left when they officially file for bankruptcy "
" No one to whom to talk too"
"A company of crooks and thieves.
Dozens of unanswered emails.
Whole months of chasing them.
stay away like fire"
"See below a copy of the email I sent to the supervisor a few months ago, I am still waiting for an answer!!!
Hi,
I bought a washer back in 2016 with a 5 year additional warranty,
The last few months I had major problems with the machine not draining, I have called numerous times, the person on the phone kept on pushing me away that I am calling just because I want to get a new washer before the warranty expires, I explained him my problem but he had every time an other answer why he is not sending down a tech to fix it,
Now, each and every time I use the machine, it does not drain all the way, (I have to sit on the floor with pails and drain it myself!!), If I dont help with the draining, it could show that it has 9 minutes to complete the cycle, and stay like this for about 20/30 minutes before it completes, and then it comes out sopping wet, as many times I tried to explain it to him, he did not listen to me, now he won the game and he told me that the warranty has expired,
I am asking you to please bring up the recording of all my phone calls and listen to it, It is really unfair that I paid for a warranty, had problems, spent hours on hours on the phone about it, and he just pushed me off for months waiting the warranty should expire,
Waiting to hear back from you.
PS, I emailed Nick back in September, I am still waiting to hear back."
"Have a 5 year warranty with Mack. Controls of fridge died. After non response (18 days) called them. Arrogant. Called a repairman to take care of issue. 1,2,3. Never buy a MACK warrant, they will never honor it. Major retailers discarded them like junk. Buyer beware"
"We paid for the warrantee, but no service at all.
We waiting over 7 months for a tech to come to fix the light issue of the fridge. finally they scheduled an appointment after waiting 7 months for the part to come down but they didn't arrived, after waiting all day they didn't arrive, when called in they say they anyways don't have the part.... when they said they got it.... they rescheduled for today, after waiting they again didn't arrive, when called in at 2pm we received a recorded msg that they are closed....
Don't use this company "
"It's been about nine months since I signed my approval for a reimbursement after they decided my dishwasher would be too costly to repair. Of course this is after I waited weeks for their authorized local repair center to come down to evaluate the machine, which I had told them needed a new pump, only for them to determine that it needed a new pump which they would need to order. Why they wouldn't bring a new pump with them after I told them it needed one is beyond me. So I waited a few weeks for it to come in. The repair center only allowed me to schedule the next appointment for them to come down to install the replacement part once it came in. So, it finally came in, scheduled an appointment, waited a few weeks for the appointment, and they came to install it- only to find out that the part was defective. Wait, wait, wait again. Finally came to install it but something else was wrong. Until Mack decided it would be more cost-effective for them to issue me a refund for the prorated cost I paid for my dishwasher. It is now way over a year later since I originally contacted Mack for warranty service, and nine months since I approved a refund instead, and I am still waiting for the refund. I leave multiple messages at the customer service line but no one ever calls me back. Last time I got through, they confirmed that my check was never issued and they transferred me to accounting to request it - only to receive a voicemail instead of a human. Obviously, no one ever called me back. I am so frustrated and disgusted. "
"Called them to service my washing machine. Waited one hour to get through and it then took them weeks to assign technician and then weeks more to schedule a visit to assess the machine. After waiting 6 weeks for the scheduled visit they canceled the day of the visit and scheduled again for one week later. One week later they promised me that I am the first stop of the day. It is 11AM and they still have not showed up. When I called they now say I am the second stop. The company is a complete fraud. How they stay in business is beyond me. The customer service reps or managers take 1 hour to get through to and they are rude when they speak to you and have not fulfilled they warranty obligations. "
"I sent in my A7III in July 29 - it came back today, September 26. The headphone jack was not working - when I plugged in headphones, it would crackle then die.
I contacted Mack and filled out the online form, printed it out and shipped it to them. Came back today, and the headphone jack is now working again perfectly. The notes included are: Updated Firmware, One Time Courtesy Cleaning of CCD, Complete Check of Unit, Replace Microphone and Head Phone Jacks, Mic Lid.
Shipped back with authorized signature FedEx, which requires someone 21+ to sign which I didn't know was a thing.
Anyway, I see that most of these reviews are horror stories and I just wanted to share that I actually had great success with them. One thing to note is they never really updated me along the process, and the repair time was fairly long - I had bought a Sony A7C in anticipation of this, so now I have two cameras.
I bought this warranty in 2019 figuring it was worth it for expensive gear and it was a business expense anyway. The A7III was ultra reliable all the way up to that one failure, and it probably would have cost me more than $200 to fix."
"These guys are bad news! They take your money for an extended warranty, then when you need service, they're nowhere to be found.
It takes them weeks to respond to an inquiry, they then bs you that they're sending down a repair company, which never happens!
It has been 3 months since I have requested service, 1 month since they confirmed that a technician is being sent, and that's pretty much the end of it.
Waste of time, waste of money, and don't think for a second that your appliances are covered for an extended warranty if you bought a Mack warranty."
"The worst thing you can possibly do with your money, is paying for a Mack warranty."
"Ive called them that my Oven is broken, they gave me weeks till they finnaly came over, then they said they dont have the parts, after another 3 months they promised a date they will come to repair it, after making me wait 4 hours, telling me they are in way... they never showed up... every phone call they put me on hold for long time, then its getting disconnected.
i also called them regarding my fridge but nobody helped me with that.
They are beyond disgusting, dishonest, they are just a scheme.... NEVER USE THEM/"
"Been burned 3 times. I've purchased their coverage on many of my household appliances and electronics, and as is with most appliances these days, they need repair. 3 times tried to claim repair under warranty and they refused."
"It starts when you call in until you can finally reach them even if there's only one person ahead of you the wait is minimum an hour.
Then they need to 'review' your claim and 'decide' if you're qualified for service that itself can take like 3-4 weeks. Afterwords they call you and schedule a repair date in 12 weeks time around claiming they only service your area like once a week... when repairman finally does arrive 'manager tries to find every reason on earth for why not to fix your appliance and blame it against your care of it...
