"ordered an item which I received, then was billed 14.95 for VIP service which I did not sign up for. I was told because I excepted a first time order of 10% off i was automatically signed up. Didn't matter how many times I talked to customer service they would cancel the monthly fee. After 6 months of being charged I had to cancel my credit card and be reissued another as they would not stop. So they charged me 89.70 for a 3.00 discount one my first order. That is a SCAM. Do not order from this company. They used to be legit but are not anymore. Customer service apologizes profusely and actually does nothing, when I asked for a supervisor, I was told they just stepped out, I just laughed and canceled my card."

"I ordered multiple items including an expensive jacket. They used to ship UPS and there were no problems. Then they started shipping USPS and it was nothing but trouble. This particular order was lost in transit and Magellan’s refused to help. They told me to take it up with the postal service, which in my area is next to impossible. "I was fooled into joining the Magellan's VIP Club -- didn't even know I had joined, but they had my credit card on line. I have purchased several things from Magellan's over the past year and a half, so didn't notice that some were "Magellan's VIP" which were simply a monthly rip-off of $14.95. I called and asked and the person who answered was impolite that I joined and there was nothing I could do except cancel -- after losing over $200. Turns out you have to send in a rebate. There is no way you can get a list of your past purchases on line, so I asked them by email for the list and they said they could not send.
I'm good at not being taken -- this was insidious! I will never purchase from them again and recommend no one else does! All of the merchandise was very poor quality."

"Gave me a fake FedEx shipping number when I traced it. Customer service in some foreign land told me to check with the post office so gave me another shipping number. That also hit a wall with tracking that information. I was billed so refused to pay. They continued to billed my CC shipping charge $14.99."
"I ordered a Phone soap from them on March 12 that they showed was backordered for a few days. They did not ship it in March, nor April, nor May, nor June, nor July. They continued to list it on their website with many different backorder dates. I contacted them many times, but they never said when they would ship. It seems the problem is they raised the price, after my order, so they were shipping to people who paid the higher price, but not their oldest orders. Not honorable! On July 13th they informed me that the item was no longer available. Not true, they continued to have it on their website. I had been a customer for more than 12 years, but not again. They are not reliable nor trustworthy in my opinion. "

I made legitimate orders that are cancelled by them (informed via snail mail letters that lack the actual order numbers. they are going bankrupt and are unreliable. I know that they have nice clothes for for summer, esp if you are on the chunky side, but DO NOT TRUST THEM. this is the final bell for them, they are through. DON'T get caught with your money in their hands. Once they call it a day, the chapter 13 and 11 laws will protect them. "BEWARE they now charge over $16 monthly if you click to be notified of sales, etc, There was no statement about $16 charge, I called customer service IT IS NO LONGER A WORKING NUMBER. So I called order line number & was transferred----you guessed it---to the no longer working number.
I have emailed them to stop this charge & refund the $16 charged my to my credit card but don't know if this will work. May have to cancel card & get new one.
UPDATE 2/19/2020: They charged my debit card again. I cancelled my debit card. I called order phone number and told them to not hang up & I told rep my problem. She gave my this number to call 1-***-***-****. I explained my problem & was told they would refund the 2 charges. We will see,"

"A couple of months ago I ordered two items from Magellan's, from whom I had previously had good service. Those items never arrived. I went on line and could not connect with anyone. I tried calling and reached no one. Something has drastically changed at Magellan's. The items were listed as "in stock," I had the invoice with the order number--nothing I did and no attempt to reach them was successful. When I check their reviews, their rating was "1." What has happened? Did they go bankrupt? They seem to have disappeared of the face of the earth but they are still sending out catalogs."
