"So, what do you do when you want a whiz bang computer that will handle a Ceton 3 tuner card, MS Media Center, Windows Office, Outlook, MS Messenger, IE8, Mozilla AND a game all at once? Why you buy a MAINGEAR! For under 5K get a state of the art graphics card, Intel Quad core I-7 960, SSD 126 boot drive, water cooled and dual raid 1T hard drives in a cool case that's water-cooled - that's the Maingear Shift. Quiet, cool, fast, powerful and puts everything else I've see to shame. Oh and did I mention it has an easily serviced case and you see no wires? As you can tell I love it! I can't believe it's almost a year old. So, have I had any problems - None! Do Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 run well on it (64 bit operation)- Yes. If you do intense office work involving access to many internet pages at once as well as various office products this is really hard to beat. Can you configure a HP or Dell similarly? Actually, no you can't and frankly even If I could their reliability can't even come close to Maingear. Oh, and then there are the games....
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the one and only complaint I've had - the manual needs work. It is not designed for the unlearned but frankly after I first set it up I never went back to it. Just something they need to work on and I desperately wanted to say something negative so I couldn't be considered fawning. "

"After contacting Maingear what i really appreciated right off the bat was that the individual from Maingear LISTENED to what i wanted to use my new system for, and was not a hammer looking for solution (or nail). he was not configuring a system in his head to meet my max budget. i always felt that other manufacturers were doing that. He was very knowledge on systems/technology issues/HW exploits related to Adobe products, even though he was not personally expert on all the advanced Adobe functions and digital image editing. We configured the RIGHT system -- for ME -- with growth potential built in. "I purchased a MAINGEAR X-Cube computer early this spring. I'd read the reviews and it seemed like the best company out there. Well the computer they shipped me never worked right. I had blue screens and freezes almost every day. After much tech support they wanted me to send it back. I frankly told them I have bad arthritis and wasn't thrilled about having to lift and carry the heavy box back into Fed-Ex. I wasn't angry because it wasn't their fault a component was failing, just not pleased.

Chris Morley contacted me the next day and OFFERED ME A NEW COMPUTER!!!! I was stunned at this level of customer service. I was in the middle of a disagreement with my roofer who wouldn't even return a phone call...and here is an offer of a new system.

The new system arrived complete with a video card update and has worked like a dream ever since. I don't know what was wrong with the first one but I'm certain that it was torn apart when they got it so that the techs know the problem.

"After researching on many manufacturer websites and checking computer websites about components and complete systems, I decided to purchase a computer from Maingear in New Jersey. It was easy to choose and customize a computer (I choose the Vybe with a 6 core AMD processor) and arranging for an aftermarket cooler (not listed on the website) was a snap. Most of my contacts were with Daniel Cruz who was very helpful in answering my questions about configurations and payment. He also personally delivered the computer to my New York address. On top of everything the computer works beautifully, although I'm still getting used to the Windows 7 os, after many years of using XP.
I would recommend buying from Maingear if you choose not to build a system on your own. Great service and the computer lives up to the advertising"

"I can not say enough good things about both my computer and my experience with this company.
Prior to ordering I spoke with their CTO Chris Morley. I wanted to not only go over the component selections that I had made - but also had questions as to why Maingear chose the brands being offered. Chris patiently answered all my questions - answers that were to the point and made sense. They really make an effort to choose the latest technology using the best integration of components.
I placed my order for the F131 on 6/11/10 and my order was ready on 6/22/10. My system was thoroughly stress tested (using tough burn in tests)prior to delivery.
The system works perfectly - boots up real fast (I fully recommend the SSD drive to put your applications on)and shuts down even faster. I'm using a single ATI 5870 video card and everything is silky smooth. The Asus Xonar Essence sound card is simply pure delight. Music sounds exactly as it should -clean and beautiful. The blue ray is crystal clear and with the Xonar card gives one a true movie theater experience. The machine runs silent. Everything works as it should flawlessly.
I had two very minor software issues - here is an example of Maingear customer service. I was on hold for no more than 20 seconds. The customer service engineer went right into my system remotely - fixed the problem in a couple of minutes -issue solved. It doesn't get better than that.
I'm most pleased with my system and would with no reservation recommend Maingear to anyone in the market for a high performance rig.

"I recently bought a Shift system from Maingear and can't begin to express what a pleasent surprise surprise it's been. Build quality is first rate in every way. The attention to details is on par with a fine watch. The machine arrived the next day after leaving their shop beautifully boxed and properly protected. My computer runs exactly as advertised, no nonsense or qlitches of any kind, a nice change from the norm. Any questions I have had have been promptly addressed by the technical staff with patience and skill.
