"Really bad service.
Difficult to work with, demanding paperwork, and they destroyed quite a bit of my stuff. Glassware, which I understand. But they also shattered a light fixture when they delivered it (banging into the wall) and dragged all the bins on our brand new wood floors, scratching the hell out of those.
Anytime you reach out to them, they respond "Please note that, as per our Terms of Service, you agreed to 'waive all rights and claims against MakeSpace should your fragile stuff break or other be damaged.'"
If you care about your things, stay away."
"there are many pros to hiring Make space. they provide, truck, movers & pack items in storage for you! the Rep at Makespace misled me to believe that 1). I could view my items in storage, that hasn't happened yet! 2). Rep mislead me to believe that the turnaround for having my items redelivered to my permanent home could be done within a day or so after pick up....but HE LIED! Make space is trying to give me a redeliver appointment for 1 1/2 later than I need it! I AM LIVID AT THE MISCOMMUNICATION AND BLATANT LIE! I HAVE NO BEDS AND THE ESSENTIALS TO MOVE INTO MY NEW HOME DUE TO MAKESPACE! "

"My experience with making space was fantastic. Everything from working with chelli from the office, scheduling the pick up and follow up calls. Professional,accurate and polite. Step 2 was the pickup. My men,Simyon,tommy, and Francesco were fantastic. On time,polite, efficient, and helpful . It was a wonderful experience. I thank all of them very much. "

the good:
- so far they've lived up to everything they promised
- customer service is very courteous and actually follows up on questions if they say they will (although it can be later than they originally estimate)
- moving staff is friendly, professional, and efficient
the not so good:
- failed to properly schedule one of my pickup appointments, i understand that nothing is perfect and they were very nice about it and offered a small discount off my overall rate. (however, i was lucky because i had extra time to re-schedule my appointment for a couple weeks later, but if i was more pressed for time, this mistake would have really screwed me over, unfortunately it doesn't seem that they have any built-in buffers in their schedules for mixups like this)
- customer service can be hard to reach at times (during high-demand times like summer moving season)"

"Moved to a 4th Floor Apartment. The elevator was too small for the Queensize bed. Myself and the two gentlemen from Makespace carried the Mattress AND Box Spring up the narrow staircase. "
