"Bogus company. What's annoying about this company is that i ordered before from them 3 times and they sent the items and once on ebay and they sent it and now the last items i needed to complete my boat they decided to run with my $131.00 , I will now contact Ebay . Paypal. and the BBB and Dept of Consumer affairs and whoever else can get my $131.00 back "
"Marine Part Depot has absolutely the worst communication. If you can find their phone number, don't bother calling or leaving a message, because they do not answer or return phone calls. Nor do they respond to emails. They do, however, have the best prices and very fast shipping. I ordered over $300 in stainless Steel Bimini parts and one piece was faulty. After trying to contact them for a replacement, I gave up and ordered the replacement piece. It about killed me to even think of doing business with them again, but I wanted an exact matching piece. So upon ordering I wrote in the memo section, "This should be free as I am ordering it to replace an already purchased DEFECTIVE piece from Marine Part Depot". I received the part 2 days later with an apology and a refund!!!!"
"I purchased some bow shackles from this company and after I received the wrong items I shipped them back requesting the right product. They not only did not ship my products I purchased but they never replied to one email and they might as well not have a phone because they never answer it! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR THEY WILL STEEL YOUR MONEY!!!!"
"Ordered 4 items and received 3. The most expensive part was the one missing. Tried email, phone and filed paypal complaint. None of it worked. Kissing $20 good bye. Do not do any business with this so called company. Most likely just a drop shipper. Did get address off sales email.
Here it is:
Turquois, Inc --- Marine Part Depot.

"I purchased an item which was a fraction of what it would have cost me at West Marine. When I realized I ordered the wrong size I ordered and rerceived the right size before sending the wrong item back, as I needed it asap. I tried to contact Marine Part Depot by phone and email before sending the wrong item back, but got no response. I sent it back anyway, requesting a refund on the wrong Item. It's been nearly 3 months without a response from the company. Judging from all the negative reviews, I guess I can forget about a refund. I'll never do business with this company again!!"
"I ordered a handful of various marine parts but was shorted a screw which cost about $1. I have sent 4 emails to Marine Parts Depot and left 3 phone messages letting them know. I have not received a single reply. It is absurd that they are ignoring me over such an inexpensive part. Will NEVER do business with them again."
"I ordered two sets of stainless deck cleats in mid April. I received confirmation of shipment via USPS in a couple of days although they did take about a week to arrive. I'm very pleased with the quality of these items and would order from this source again.
I admit, the website is rather misleading as to shipping time but most items of this type are not all that time sensitive so I personally wasn't too concerned whether it arrived in 5 days or a week."
"I placed an order April 7th. 2011 and partial shipment arrived 4-18-11. A part was invoiced, but missing. I had no replies to 2 e-mails. Phone number dumps to message. left several voice mails with no response."
"I ordered a stainless steel anchor for about $239. What a deal! It arrived in about 2 weeks & it is absolutely Awesome! It will look sweet on our boat!. I will order from Marine Parts Depot again. I did send them an email after my initial order, telling them I ordered the wrong item & to replace it with the one I really wanted. They did so to my surprise. Great service!"
"Stay away from this seller. Sent me an inferior product of what I ordered. They don't answer phones or e-mails. Website says 365 day return policy . Who in their right mind would send their item back when you can't get them to answer a simple e-mail. I wish I was 3000 miles closer..."
"I think I've been had!!!
I ordered about $32 worth of stuff from them on Aug 8th(a Sunday). Their website boasts shipping within 24hrs, but since I ordered on a Sunday, I figured a little longer. I immediately received an order confirmation email from both Marine part depot and Paypal that my order had been placed.
Now it is the 10th and I have still not received an email saying my order has shipped. I checked their site for an order update and there is no new info regarding this order, no ship date and no tracking number. I sent them an email earlier today, asking when my order will ship and still have not received any reply. Oh yeah, they billed my paypal account as soon as the order was placed though. I will give them until the required time that paypal allows and then I am going to file a claim. Its only $32, but it still pi$$es Me off. A closer look at their website, or lack thereof, should have been my first clue to run away!!! It is about as generic as they come.
If by some chance I do receive the stuff I ordered, I will return and possibly retract my comments, unless it takes too long to get my stuff."
"Stay away! Buy elsewhere. Although you *might* be OK *IF* they send you what you actually ordered.
On a recent order, after a two week wait, they sent me eight of the wrong item ($50 worth) and despite a great deal of effort on my part just absolutely refuse to do anything about it.
In regard to the incorrect items, over the course of the last month, I have sent several emails, two faxes, and made several phone calls - No response, zero, nada.
By phone, you will never get a real person, but if you are lucky(?) you will be able to leave a [totally futile] voice-mail, otherwise the voice-mailbox is full and their system just hangs up on you.
I even found the owners email and sent a plea to him directly - nothing.
I also found their store on eBay and sent a request for help via eBay's system - nothing. BTW, if you read the negative feedback on eBay you will see the exact same complaints from others.
Even if there were something wrong with my personal email (which their isn't) one of those other methods of contact should have elicited some sort of response.
Today I filed for a chargeback from my CC provider. I'll update here on the results.
This is a totally baffling business model to me - the fix would have been a simple swap of the wrong parts for the correct parts. But if they can't be bothered to fix the issue - never mind the fact that they totally ignore you - you shouldn't bother spending your money there either.
The positive side of dealing with this awful vendor is that I found an alternative source for equivalent products for lower prices (much lower in some cases).
If you do decide to order from them, good luck to you, maybe you will be fortunate enough to get what you actually ordered.

UPDATE
******
About three weeks after I filed for the chargeback, a credit for the value of the incorrect parts was magically applied to my CC. I even got an email notifying me of the refund and that the correct part was currently out of stock. It should not take this level of effort or amount of time to get a simple matter like this resolved."
